Cam is absolutely responsible for his actions. I'm not excusing him, but having an over competitive drive myself, I understand the thought process. This is the actions of a young man who, imo, has never had to truly face his body's limitations. With age comes perspective. It's part of the maturation process and its difficult.

My displeasure and disappointment for Ron and Marty is from a more a business perspective. This is your franchise QB. This is the future of your team. When he is obviously hurt, and doing a poor job of hiding it at that, how do you not step in? Ron knows that feeling. It happened to him at some point. Marty is the GM. If Ron isnt stepping in, he should have.

It cant be easy to take your star player out of the game for his own good. We as could see it in his game and we're merely fans. They're the coaches, they're the doctors, they're the guys in charge. How can the "experts" at the job be less informed than the common fan. It doesnt make sense.

Cam didnt pass the eye test, and all this ignorance doesn't pass the smell test. Theres plenty of blame to go around, but a lot of us expected more from those in charge.

Hi.

Yeah im new so I’m still learning some of the ins and outs here. I have a technical question.

How do I pie this post eleventy bajillion times?

This is a failure in football from the lowest level to the highest.  Kids are taught to hide injuries and coaches are taught to ignore it.  Yes cam hid his injury, yes Ron had to of seen it.  Both are at fault, but it's the head coach who has to be at fault ultimately because he has the final decision on who plays

Yeah, never mind he was held out of practice because he was having difficulty walking, much less playing football, CAM SAID HE WAS GOOD TO GO SO NO BLAME OR RESPONSIBILITY CAN BE LAID AT THE HEAD COACH’S FEET YET AGAIN!

Cams been limping around and missing practice for several years and still playing in the games on Sundays. This wasnt anything new. Ron isnt a doctor or a trainer and if you think the head coach is the one determining who can play and who cant i have some beachfront property in Charlotte to sell you. There isnt a coach in the league that is going to sit his franchise player if he says he can go - especially when he knows hes on the hot seat and every loss is another step towards losing his job. These are paid professionals not little kids.

Very true. Of course by making this statement he also makes himself look a little bad. He obviously either didn't consider this or doesn't care what anyone thinks of him which is his prerogative I guess. It's not an attitude that i love to see in a franchise figurehead, but that's his choice.

I think you are onto something.  There is an element of going rogue attached to releasing that video...

A realistic and accurate representation of real life in the NFL.

Take note whiners.

Lol like imagine Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes limping around at practice all week and then Sunday rolls along and they tell their coach theyre good and the coach says “no sorry son I think its best you sit”

FOH

Sorry can't imagine this, since the NFL does not allow defensive linemen to look at Brady in a mean or threatening way, much less touch him. The one injury he had is the only one they'd allow, after that it's been don't touch Tom for a decade. If you want to imagine something, close your eyes, remember the 2016 season opener with the Broncos and try to tell yourself any single one of the hits endured by Cam in that game wouldn't be a penalty, a fine, and maybe an ejection for the offending player if it had been Brady and not Cam.

If we can all see it as casual viewers in limited tiime, how can you not see it?

A very true statement.  Cam's arrogance in the video has turned me away from cheering him on.  Hopefully he retires.  I still am a die hard Panther fan no matter who is quarterback but Cam showed his true self to me in that video.

Which is what?

A player that will go out there with a lisfrance foot just to appease people like you?

Message to Cam and all players, this is exactly why you don't play hurt.

Fans like him can be described with only two syllables:

”in”

&

”grate”
