Cam Gives A Detailed Video Update About Why He is Sidelined (Friday Sept 27th)

nope, he's my 2nd favorite panther qb ever.  i am upset with him right now though.  pretty damn upset. some of my upset with rivera has transferred to cam over this.  i would be pretty upset if one of my employees lied to me like this also

No idea what you do, but you mentioned employees.  So let's say you've got a lawn maintenance company, and one of your key yard men was hurt (limping) and you asked him if he could still do the job.  He says, "sure, boss; I'll man up."  Then your customer calls and complains about the shoddy job that day.  Same employee comes to you and says, "Man, I thought I could handle it, but guess I couldn't.  I'll take a week or two off, and get myself right."

Who you blame then?  Him?  He tried to gut it out, but couldn't, then realized his mistake, and owned it.  You?  You took him at his word that he could.  You to blame?  Who else?

Just an example, and don't bother coming back and telling me you're CEO of a Fortune 500 company.  Same logic applies.  poo happens.  It's what one does next, after admitting their error, that counts.  Feel me?

(and you never did answer me about where you heard Cam was mad we won.  hmmmmm.)

Like you said u didn't watch the video and he did mention Kyle and the team several times and saying he will give him every bit of knowledge he can. But you wanting him to get on both knees for Kyle and move out the way ain't gonna happen.

never said that....  I am still a fan of Cam, but I am glad that, as it appears for now at least, that we have a good backup which is extremely important given the fact that Cam is becoming injury prone. As for the video, I will watch it again from beginning to end, just did not have the time last night.

This guy can never win some people over. This was a really transparent video and people are just trashing the guy. If you don’t like him I get . That’s your opinion not mine. I commend him for being so open. I really can’t see why people don’t like him. I really don’t. Criticize him if he messes up on the field but some of the things I hear people complain about is ridiculous. I seen a whole segment on a popular talk show have a big “serious” discussion about his cloths. I mean, it’s not my style but I’m not him. I am rooting for him to come back better than ever and in the meantime I will be rooting for Kyle Allen to show his ass Sunday. You see how that works? You can actually cheer for both our QBs. Love him or hate him. He Is our franchise QB until it is all said and done.

First, I've never seen a fan base make excuses for such an incompetent coach and staff like they did for Rivera.    Go back in gameday threads and post-game threads from game 1 and tons of us knew something wasn't right.    If WE knew, then Ron and all them definitely knew.    It's important to not forget they waited to have him get surgery the year messed up his shoulder till way after the season (when they could have in the middle of the season).    Then he comes back last year and they KNEW he wasn't right (when your QB isn't throwing past 15 yards it's not to miss).      He's out there playing and gets hurt again.     They have failed many, many times.

Then this season people are trying to blame Cam when this video is basically him trying to cover up FOR HIS TEAM and their screw-ups.

Cam fell on the sword once again and once again dumbass posters blame Cam and say he’s selfish.

rivera and co. need to go. For a military guy he sure is a fuging pussy.

Rivera held and still holds defensive records as a linebacker at Cal . He is a Super Bowl champion and played 9 years in the NFL in the 80’s/90’s. Has been a professional coach in the NFL for 20 years now.

He is a pussy?

Wow, I’d love to see what you call a tough guy then. Pussy I assure you, he is not .

He’s not man enough to tell his franchise he’s out when he’s obviously hurt because he’s afraid of losing his job. His rationale is 80% (lol) Cam is better than what we saw in preseason with Allen and Grier.  That is pussy poo.

Franchises WANT players who want to play no matter what, they want that in players DNA but part of your job as a coach is to assess short term and long term risks. They all saw him limping in practice, and the coaches all saw him during the game. It is inexcusable and a fireable offense throughout the org imo.

Non-ballers need not apply....

Hi.

welcome to 2019 where’s no longer necessary or advisable to stigmatize people for making foolhardy decisions that risk their health and careers at the behest of a testosterone fueled mindset best left in the bygone era that spawned it.

Why don’t you go find a few of the players still left from those days and ask them over their walkers and canes if they think it was a culture that served their interests well long term or if they now think it’s a bunch of stupid macho bs? If they aren’t already suffering from early onset dementia you might even get a coherent answer.

it was millennial look at me, no doubt about it

Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine on a Saturday morning.

There's something quite amusing about a man who spends his free time on the weekends cursing millennials after crying to the mods of a football forum about people being mean to him.

You do know Rivera’s job is to win games, right? But I guess saying “he’s trying to save his ass” sounds much better for your smear job than “he’s trying to win games”. Nevermind that that’s completely speculative and not at all consistent with how he’s been characterized universally. Let’s play a little game and you tell me which is the non sequitur that does not fit with all the reporting about Ron:

-Players’ coach

-Extremely nice guy

-Charitable around the community

-Willfully jeopardizes the careers of his players by playing them against their best interests in order to save his job

I bolded the correct answer for you.

Surely if he’s so blatantly putting his interests before the interests of his players, he will have lost the locker room...right? Or are y’all on the Huddle just so woke and the players are still oblivious to Ron’s nefarious schemes? You’re basically accepting that the players are complicit in this, no?
