I'm pretty sure the plan wa to start Irvin and bring burns along slowerly in a pass rusher type role.. but with burns mild success and I say that in the least hes won on 29% of his pass rushes a a mark I believe that make him 4th best in the league. Does Ron say hey Bruce is a vet burns take a seat we will call you when we need you.. or does Ron say Bruce who? And make him rotate with Addison?

What say you.

Looking at snap counts, Burns has played the same number of snaps as Mario with 143 out of 217 (65.9%).

Others are:

Haynes 79 out of 217 (36.4%)

Obada (not sure how many on the line vs OLB) 60 out of 217 (27.6%)

Carter 52 out of 217 (24.0%)

Miller 37 out of 217 (17.1%)

Not really sure whose snaps Irvin takes but I’m sure he’ll have a role. Miller could be inactive. I see him taking more snaps in run situations than passing situations, he’s better against the run than Mario and Burns at this point. I think it’ll work out just fine and Burns will still have a huge role.

I could only see Millers reps increase.. he was a stud last week with what 2 sacks? That's the kind of production you want to see out of the rook.. shows the light could be coming on. He was a 5 star prospect coming into Alabama.. he finally be  blossoming all that unrefined talent.

We platoon edge rushers and keep everyone fresh. Given Irvin hasn't played in weeks I doubt he starts. He needs to work himself into football shape.

I agree.  You don't come off an injury and be amazing.  Plus he isn't a spring chicken anymore.  I do believe he'll help our run defense.

I think in the end it is a good problem to have.
