Panthers 2nd in the NFL in pass defense only behind NE

I’ll admit, I was surprised by the targets. Didn’t realize it was that close:

Also been pleased with Boston. He’s quietly been very solid back there:

Small sample size, but against three teams who love to pass the ball, pretty good results. (I realize Godwin had a really good game against Jackson, but 26 responded quite well last week.)

6 hours ago, Mr. Scot said:

To be fair, we haven't exactly faced the most elite quarterbacks in the league yet.

With that said, I'll take it.

And the Pats have played the shitshow Dolphins and Jets without Darnold.

The Rams and Bucs, despite not having the greatest QBs, have good weapons that aren't easy to cover. The secondary has done a great job and helped our pass rush look better than their stats show.

Part of this is the new defense. More pressure, more man to man and more close to the line when covering. All that plays into. All 3 offenses we played have had great moments in lighting it up in the past (Murray is a new breed of trying to contain with incredible potential) so we are doing a real good job as a TEAM on defense. Think of when you get Irvin and KK in the line up. More talent to rotate and it also shows the depth, even using Cocktrell a lot last week. They've got some pieces and Bradberry is an important part.
