He started one game at LT. That was last year before Little was drafted who they clearly have plans playing LT for seasons to come. Moton has only played RT this year. I agree Moron will be better than DW at LT but their plan is quite obvious.

Plan to get the QB killed?

Moton did start 1 game there.........against 1 of the leagues beat DEs who just got a mega deal.

He also started that preseason at LT against some good defenses.

Yes Little is the future but you need to put your best combo on the field.  They haven't given a crap about moving around Moton so it shouldn't have been a issue now.  He couldve started out at LT until Little is ready then move back to RT.

Instead of keeping him there and putting a turnstile at LT who isnt comfortable there.  And let your QB get killed until Little ia ready

Im not saying it’s right, I’m just saying it’s obvious that’s their plan.

I’m guessing it’s because we view Moton as the long term RT and Williams just as a 1 year rental so they didn’t want to be messing around with Moton’s continued development as well as his chemistry with Trai. I’m also pretty sure that no one thought he was going to be quite this terrible at LT.

Seems like you pretty much have to have Little and Moton as the tackles at this point and once Trai comes back he gets his RG spot back. Which begs the question wtf do we do with Daryl? GVR has been solid, but not spectacular at LG. Putting Daryl at LG puts our 5 best OL on the field but can Daryl even play LG with the aforementioned right dominance? Is it worth upsetting any OL chemistry to give it a shot? He is an absolute mauler in the run game.

Why do people blame the players for playing out of position? The same people that dog Colin Jones when he has to sub in, for playing like a 4th string safety, when that's exactly what he's always been. That's on the coaches. Williams isn't a bum. He's doing all he can, in a contract year, and he looks like dogshit right now. I guarantee you that's not at all what he wants.

Obviously the team feels Moton is a great RT and they don’t want to keep moving him around. DW is obviously a placeholder until Little is ready. Pretty simple really.

See gang, it’s really isn’t that hard.

couple that with the fact that Williams wants tackle money and it’s easy to see how we got here.

Only if you assume that they're making the correct decision.

There's a fair amount of history that can be used to cast doubt on that premise.

Don't you think he maybe should have told the coaches this before he was abused multiple times over the last 3 weeks?  Our o-line's pass blocking would have been outstanding if not for Williams so far.

Maybe if we had competent coaches they wouldn't have to be told?

I get the Hurney criticism, he's earned some, but the depth chart is set by the head coach. That's his. So is somehow thinking it's a good idea to attempt to convert awful defensive linemen into offensive tackles entrusted with protecting your franchise quarterback.
