Dumb hypothetical that I find interesting.

As the title suggests, this is an incredibly unwell thought out hypothetical, based mostly on assumed intentions and actions by many individuals.

There is an accepted idea, that Ron and company have ridden on the talent of Cam Newton to keep their jobs.

And they've potentially ridden it to the point of complete exhaustion, and have potentially killed their job security savior.

Are they aware of this mishandling  that they then make decisions that best create a narrative for themselves to keep their jobs, and lament their failures on to an injured player trying to get healthy because of their mishandlings.

Has Ron done anything right? Jeez he's human makes mistakes like all of us has bad habits just like all of us. Pretty sure Cam is the one saying he's healthy enough to play trying to much to be a real life superhero. I fault Ron for not letting he eyes see that something is obvious wrong with Cam

I think that there is disconnect. RR knew Cam had a shoulder injury last year---he inserted Heinicke to throw hail mary passes.  He knowingly played a QB with an injury to his throwing shoulder.  He had no options, in his mind.  Cam gave him the best chance to win that day--to hell with the future.

Well Ron, welcome to the future.  If Kyle Allen can save your ass, God bless him.

I still think that there is something more to this ordeal than Cam's injury. I am getting tired of these injuries that are diagnosed as minor (Williams, Cam) and turn into major ordeals a game later.

Agreed. There comes a time when you have to step in to do what’s best for your franchise qb for the player himself as well as the team. One thing all or nothing showed us is that Tepper had to step in and say Cam is done during the New Orleans game. It should’ve never gotten to that point. That to me will be the strongest negative opinion of Ron Rivera I have when I think of him coaching.
