It sucks that Cam spent 6 years in that garbage franchise without help and a awful OC, but now that we have weapons and a somewhat decent OC Cam is broken and can’t take advantage of this.

So now idiots are bringing up his past stats as if any other QB would have success. Cam sacrificed his body just to be replaced

I like Cam, but Panther fans are, for the most part, the only ones that think he will be a hall of fame qb at this point in his career.  He will only be a hall of famer if he can stay healthy, gets back to playing as well as he did 2013-2015, and we get a couple of SB wins.   I hope he does get back to that level.  It would be good for him and great for us.  But right now, the jury is out.

I am not so sure you should discount Cam and the HOF just yet. I have heard many folks say he is close right now. There are plenty of football people who just love Cams' game. Hell, NFL Live had Casserly (sp) saying Cam already is in the Hall. They were discussing whether Cam starts if Allen stays hot.

Cam has absolutely revolutionised the QB position. He has plenty of numbers, and records. And I don't believe he HAS to win a SB.

If he comes back healthy, and shows people just how tough he is? He absolutely has a legitimate shot.

So if Cam is healthy and he performs worse than Allen, Cam gets the job?  Are you a local scarf salesman?

If Cam comes back and plays worse than Allen? Houston, we have a problem. But...when Cam comes back, and plays like we expect? We have a decision to make in regards to Allen.

    I'll take option A.

I think most of these comments missed interpreted my conclusion of this thread. I for one think at the end of the day it’s about preparing to win the game with the best players to put you in that position.  My comment was that I felt it’s been tragic that some of our fans have been quick to turn their back on Cam so quickly.  The facts are their that he played hurt with medical records to prove it.
I want to win no matter the the players in place. I’m a Panthers fan since the start.  With given his talent and his production you can’t tell me when healthy Cam is a starting QB and gives us opportunities to win.

A healthy Cam Newton is a nightmare, and a potential HOF QB. He absolutely gives you a chance to win any game he plays.

If that Cam Newton comes back this year. He sure as shootin is going to be the starting QB.

Man, it sure would be nice to give this team a healthy Cam. We dang sure could compete with anyone.

Week 3 has come and gone and although we got our first victory of the season which was in deed an incredible feeling.  But as soon as the game ended the happiness and excitement we as a fanbase experienced quickly soured and has left a bad taste in my mouth.  Kyle Allen played UNBELIEVABLE for a guy in his 2nd career start!  Lighting up the Cardinals for 4 TD passes and throwing for over 250+.   Not to take any credit away from Allen but the Arizona Cardinals are statistically the 3rd worse defense in the league.  All week I have been badgered by friends and co-workers, knowing I am a diehard Panthers fan, about how we just "need to cut Cam" we need to "trade Cam" or whatever stupidity they could come up with just to get a rise out of me.  But then I turn to social media and sports outlets and some suggesting the same thing.

The consistence throughout the Panthers "fanbase" (And I will use quotes for those suggesting these ridiculous comments) that Cam needs to but cut or traded and Kyle Allen needs to be the starter for the remainder of the season.  If Cam is 100% healthy there is undoubtedly no question that CAM NEWTON is the starter for the Panthers.  As shocked as I was about Kyle Allen's performance Sunday lets not ignore the facts.  The Cardinals are a bad team with a worse defense.  We actually had a running game with 153 yards and a touchdown.  Our defense held the Cardinals for 248 total yards including 8 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and 2 interceptions.  The whole team was collectively better than the previous 2 weeks.

Cam Newton played, obviously still recovering from surgery and injuries vs the Ram's #3 rated Defense and the Buccaneers #14 rated defense.  A little different than 3rd to last.  Now I am not trying to take away anyone's performance Sunday, it was glorious.  But for folks, I would assume whom never played football, suggesting Cam is done and washed up.

Cam has literally put this organization back on the map since entering the league.  I could go on and on and list every Cam Newton accomplishment here on this thread and to some it wouldn't matter.  But for those who you know, you know dang well what Cam Newton has done for this organization.  It seems so damn unfair for fans to want to cut ties with Cam or blame Cam for everything.

My old coach said when the team wins the Quarterback gets all the praise.  When the team loses the Coach gets all the blame.  I truly feel Cam gets all the blame and really never has gotten the praise he deserves.

If Cam Newton wants to be here and play for the Panthers and he is healthy then by god he's the starting Quarterback.

Kyle Allen great job Sunday!  You're presence is known sir!  Keep Pounding.

Both of those teams defensive stats look better because they played us the 1st 2 weeks...

While the Rams D is good, the Bucs defense is bottom 10, if not bottom 5, as far as I'm concerned. They have a poo secondary and mediocre at best front 7. As much as I defend Cam, he just looked like poop that game and that was a big reason why we lost (even with Daryl pulling his best Kalil impersonation)

Cam Newton has not scored a touchdown since week 13 of last year, and has 9 turnovers over that same period of time. I love Cam, but health excuses can only happen for so long, as legitimate as they may be. We should be Carolina Panther fans, not Cam Newton fans.

It's still a joke that Rivera kept him in with his shoulder injury and his foot injury.

I agree completley, but I'd really like to assess the capabilities of out MVP quarterback after he has had an actual Considerate time to heal.

If afterwards, there is no improvement, then absolutley, it is time to move on.

I think considerable time is probably about a year
