  1. 1. Does Cam start if healthy and Kyle Allen led Panthers are 3-3 or 4-2 after bye?

Depends on how he plays.

If he plays amazeballs, I think he starts as long as 2 wins come with it.

If he plays average, Newton will start no matter what

If he plays very good, but not amazing, but well above average, then depends on the record.  3-3?  Eh, but 4-2 would mean he's undefeated as a starter with a 5 game win streak.  I don't think even Rivera would bench that.

I don't think you can make that call based off record alone. If Kyle Allen levels out and ends up throwing for 200 yards a game, 1 TD, 1 INT would be different than if he continues to play like he has for his last 2 starts. If he keeps playing like he has, especially against the Texans & Jaguars defenses, then you have to roll with the hot hand.

Cam should be on IR designated to return. I see no way that he’s completely healthy in anything less than 6 weeks.

I agree. Plus it removes all temptation to put him in if the season needs saving. They need to let him heal. No ifs ands or buts about it.

Knowing Ron’s past I would say Cam starts. You guys also need to remember that the staff(and Tepper) need to see what a healthy Cam can do.

I don't know.  Let's say we're 4-2 when Cam gets healthy.  I think you ride the hot hand and find out FOR SURE what you have with Kyle Allen.

Let's say, hypothetically that happens . . . we're 4-2, we stick with Kyle.  Kyle gets you to 11-5 and into the playoffs.  Do you really think it matters what Cam has in the tank at that point?  You've got a guy seven years younger and many millions cheaper who can get you to the playoffs.  I think it's possible this costs Cam his job.

Hate it for Cam that it ends this way, but you gotta look out for the future of the franchise, and the truth is that legit NFL QB's are RARE.  If Kyle Allen is one, you don't throw that away.

After the week off he is still only in the middle of the recommended time to recover. Cam always wants to play no matter what so in this case we should sit him until he is 100 percent no matter what the record is.

Gotta include the week before the Cards game and the bye week.  That makes it right at 6 weeks right?
