Ok the double standard here is getting out of hand.  If the doctors say Cam is good, and Cam says he is good, what is the coach supposed to do?  Greg tried to play on an injured foot, TD played in the super bowl with his arm held together with chewing gum and screws.  Those guys showed lots of heart and drive to play through pain.  Cam tries to do the same and most yall want to blame the coach.

Preach.

Some more of my random thoughts.

Maybe Cams look in the mirror comment was about him realizing he is hurting the team trying to play when hurting and he needed to speak up on the seriousness of the injury, pain.

There are several things about Cams game you can question and criticize,  but his toughness and desire to be on the field with his team is something you can't.

Because as much as we all love "tough guy" stories, there comes a point where it's the risk is greater than the reward. If you don't know where that line is, or even worse you do know where it is and you're willing to cross it, that ain't good.

That, plus there's a difference between trying to be tough yourself and sitting back and watching somebody else do it.

If you read my other random thoughts post you will see I think Can is learning this.  If the dr says Cam is good, and Cam says he is good, I do not know of any coach in the league who would sit the starting qb.  Cam has to own some of the blame in this.  Coach and dr do not know how and what he feels when running and trying to plant his foot.

The dr relays on the patient to describe what they feel to make a good diagnosis,  if the patient is not honest, you can not blame the dr.

Anybody who knows football players knows most of them would still try to get back on the field even if they were missing a leg. Heck, Sterling Shepard admitted to waving off the sideline when he was suffering concussion symptoms just last week.

And the problem with Rivera is that this isn't new. Even a blind person could see that something was wrong with Newton last year. He should have been sat down long before they finally did.

That's a major reason why people don't trust him now.
