rappaport already reported yesterday this was a day to day, not a week to week issue.

it seems like yet another manipulative ploy from Person to try and out his extreme hypothesis out there and "force" the Panthers to confirm or deny so Joe can claim so weird victory in this ongoing crusade he's had to "get" the Panthers for this fantasy narrative he's manufactured. He tried manipulating Rivera as recently as today and this dude has been obsessed with trying to springboard his career through an obsession with off the field garbage that nobody cares about as long as he has been here. Guy isn't a football fan.

EL OH EL. Are you being serious? Real question....

Okay. I leaned from this thread what's been wrong with my foot for a decade. I guess I probably should have gone to the doctor when my foot turned purple.

But on the positive side, I can tell you that after 10 years the worst symptom is your shoes take longer to break in.

you're misinformed.   you have to be cleared by the medical staff to play, and to play you need to not be able to make the injury worse under normal football circumstances

See above.

Either way though, we're not talking about a concussion diagnosis. We're talking about something that isn't so easily determined. As others have mentioned, x-rays can be deceiving for an injury like this.

So ultimately, the doctor may have said "it could be this" or "he's hurting" or "it's a bad idea" or any number of things. But regardless of what he said, Rivera went to Newton and asked "You wanna play?" Newton said "Yeah". And away we went...

We saw how well it flew when Ron benched Cam against Cam's wishes. This has been Cam's team in many ways for the past few years.

Rivera is the head coach. He should act like one.

I know nine years in that's not gonna happen, but it should.

no dude, the dr says you are cleared to play and then its up to you.   there are workplace rules in place.  get off this hill bro.   i agree rivera should have sat him in situations even though he said he could play - but that's after a dr cleared him.

If Rivera had knowledge that cam has a lisfranc injury (which he has to cuz he's the coach) and let him play anyways,  it's just another reason to fire him.

This is my main reason to had him fired last season. You knew he was injured since the steelers game and you still let him play last season just to save your ass and job. That's the thing that really rubbed me the wrong way last season. That's straight up selfish and wrong. You don't endanger another person's livelihood to extend your career.
