Kyle Allen broke a team record today.

He played out of his mind today. 7 incomplete passes and I'd say about half of those were either good defensive bats or drops (only one real drop I can recall right now).

This is what Kyle Allen is based on his 2 career starts though. A steady hand who is efficient. May not be the best QB in the league and will almost certainly never be considered elite....but could be a good stop gap until we find that if Cam ends up being done/never getting 100%.

We won. I will take it. May the best men take the field and the haters shut up... the future will tell who the best men are.

The haters will never shut up.  That's why they call them haters.  The best we can hope for is that their virulence subsides for awhile, so we can revel in this victory, until next week, when we go 2 and 2.

For now, it'll be skepticism that it can continue, and wild theories about Cam...

I can't see why -- with almost 20,000 Huddle members, there can't be more celebration.  A real fan base shouldn't post from the dark side of the moon.

That is a REALLY big deal right now... Best part, I was at the game to witness it all!!! All freaking smiles tonight! This team has WAY too much talent to be 0-2, and you saw parts of it today. Look how great Moore and Samuel are when you get them the ball.... That being said, lets see what Allen can do consistently.

In Kyle Allen's first REAL start, he played as well as I've ever seen a Panthers QB play.  Cam had a couple games during the MVP year that were better, but for the large part of his career, Cam has never been this lethal throwing the ball.

Hitting DJ and Olsen in stride consistently shows what this offense is built for and is capable of with a competent QB.  Hit the receiver in stride and let him do work.  That's what a Norv Turner offense needs.
