I disagree. It was a sensible pick at the time considering everything we knew. It's way too early to dump dirt on Grier (and Cam) and anoint Allen the savior. Even if Allen turns out to be our future---which is still a huge "IF"---then that's not a knock on Grier or Hurney, especially if Grier can play at this level. 

Some of you are premature at everything. Damn!

Is there a reason to be optimistic? Yes. 

But let’s wait until he plays a team that has won a game this year to decide. 

This. Lamar Jackson went from Running Back at QB last year to potential MVP through two weeks back to being a running back at QB. Allen showed great promise and today he delivered. We have a middle of the pack road ahead of us with the Jags, Bucs and Texans coming up and none of them have been world beaters. He needs to continue to show out.

We just won a game after the consensus was he can ball but behind this line he won't live through a whole game so its good to have a backup QB to Grier is a wasted pick because he played well in one game. Pump the breaks on the hate train and lets celebrate.
