Was Ron calling the defense today?

Only got to see the first half, was pretty impressed for the most part. There was talk on here during the week that maybe Ron gave the defense back to Eric...

Ron called the defense.  He was holding the playsheet and the camera caught him a few times covering his lips as he relayed the call in.  Washington was wearing a headset but I never saw him holding a playsheet or calling in plays.

Washington is the starting D coordinator, but they’re depending on Ron going forward.

Ron did well today. No matter your opinion on him, must give credit where credit is due. As was said in another thread the nfl is week to week, he may not do as well next week.... time will tell and YMMV

I didn't see him with one in the 1st half, but I may have missed it. I saw him with one in the 2nd half and that's when the defense turned it up.

When the defense doesn't have to spend 2/3 of the game on the field, and we aren't behind, they can attack and play better.

He created opportunities for them... what they’ve done with it is on them.

I was surprised Ron let Allen take a couple of swings down field right before the half. Rivera and Turner really went out of character. Or, maybe they went into character. Either way, that's a clear sign of confidence in the young pup.
