Little has quicker lighter feet but was fundamentally not great during the pre-season.

Williams is slower but he has the experience. I figured they would have put him in at guard where his shortcomings could be masked better.

If Little can tighten his technique up, he'll be good. Hopefully.

He looked incredibly weak and combined with the fundamental issues is what I was hoping for time to give him his best shot. Doesn't matter because his weaknesses still matchup better for us than a guy like William's that can run block but has no chance at passblocking speed rushers. As long as he can at least get in people's way he is a solid upgrade at this point. It's his time to prove his value because Willams damn sure wasn't proving anything positive.

Watching Little in the preseason was weird. On any given play it looked like he was getting beat, but he was doing juuuuuust enough to prevent the guy from getting to the QB. Like he was maxing out his abilities on every single play regardless of how successful the attempt from the Dlineman was.

If the D-lineman rushed at an 8/10, Little would give you an 8/10 effort. If the rusher was giving a 5/10, Little was giving a 5/10 effort. It was weird and inconsistent and it worked, kinda. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't consistent, but the results seemed better than how it looked getting there.

Remember Chris Clark?

He was garbage, but the ball was generally coming out quick enough that it looked like he was being effective... as long as you didn't watch him too closely.

OMG that is the best explanation for his college film too! It was so inconsistent and weird.

And he also looked serviceable at first and then his flaws became real unavoidable issues.

You guys are either harsh, or short sighted.

I'm sure Ron's plan was always to get Little on the field as fast as possible.  Little's concussion slowed that down. Not Ron's fault. In the first game since Little was cleared, it was obvious they we trying to get Little game action without committing the rookie to a full game - mission accomplished. In the weeks to come, I believe well see more of Little.

Once again the huddle finds reasons to gripe in a win, rather then see what is right there in front of everyone to see.

The reason it's so hard to see is we've seen the opposite so many times. It really is hard to tell if this was the game plan or just Ron being backed into a corner and throwing poo at the wall to see if it sticks.

Your perspective is purely a fan perspective.

But its been the main knock on him in the pre-draft, he doesnt have the mean streak to put a 5/10 pass rusher out of the play. That makes coachs think he’s too “nice”

That and/or he isn't physically capable of it from what I have seen. His upper body needs work. Good news is, that's attainable. Bad news, probably not this year.

Williams gave up multiple strip sacks and even though it was obvious that Little was better, Williams still trotted out there to get beat easily around the edge like last week.

We shouldn’t see Williams at all anymore unless we are forced to because he’s awful. I’m not ready to crown Little as amazing but he’s so much better at pass protection that we are gambling with Allen’s well being against guys like Chandler Jones and Allen’s well being is all that separates us right now from the Jets.

I'm not sure why you're raging to me. Are attempting to justify some point that I disagree with? I don't think so. No where have I said William's is better.  They are bring Little along just as well as they can. And they still get flack for it. A month ago he was a wasted pick. All of you people are incapable of understanding anything that isn't your own perspective.
