Hey guys Long time Cards fan, not here to troll at all, just here to talk some football. I know our teams have had some recent history especially over the last couple years. I've been reading a little bit on your site and noticed alot of you guys are saying if you run the ball all day you can beat the Cards this Sunday. I have do disagree. We are not the same defense as last year, and we pride ourselves on stopping the run. Number 1!! rush defense in the league and that isnt a watered down stat. We shut down Gore, Slaten, Jacobs, Maurice Jones drew, and on and on. If you guys have a chance at winning you have yo be able to pass to open the run. Anyway heres to a good game with no injury's. good luck guys seriously.

You are right- The Cards run defense is stout.

I just think that they are going to be overlooking the Panthers.

Jake is out for blood

And you have to imagine the team is ready to woop the Cards ass to make a statement.

You can sleep on us if you want, but I think by 1/2 time your going to be sweating a little.

Williams will make runs, I am sure of that.

I haven't seen a lot of people saying that. But your right, it will take a few throws to win. Our QB will win the game for you. Don't worry.

Here's to an injury free game :cheers2:

Trust me buddy Nobody in Az is over looking the Panther. we have played you guys the last 2 seasons in both games the Cards were 4-2 and u guys have made us 4-3. Honestly everybody in Arizona is calling this a trap game, coming off the big win Sunday night and on a high right now. We know the history especially last year in the playoffs. We all know u guys want to prove that wasn't how you guys normally show up 2 games. We aren't taking you guys lightly trust me on that!

Well, first we have to stop beating ourselves and then we can worry about the opponent. I think we'll find a way to move the ball on the ground - the question is which Jake Delhomme will show up - the one we were introduced to the last time we played or the one that has made a few cameo appearances this year?

Cards are 10 pt favorites, I'd call that about right - this is a game the Cards "should" win.

Guess who has the number 1 pass defense (and yes, that's YPG). The game could be an interesting match-up.

But if Jake version 2009 shows up, then the game will be one for the birds

U have the 2nd ranked pass defense, and much like the Giants) have feast upon the worst of passing teams...

U Faced Philly and only gave up 79yds passing but that's due to Delhomme committing 7 turnovers... The Eagles had a short field every time out...

Matt Ryan went 21-27 for 220 and 3 TDs in week 2...

Romo hit them up for 255 on Monday night in Week 3...

Much better against Washington, only giving Jason Campbell 145 and 1 TD... But Washington could get a TD, passing or rushing against the Rams... No fooling me there...

U went on to face Josh Johnson and Ryan Fitzpatrick the next 2 weeks...

I'm not sold on the ranking your pass defense...

It should be interesting. We are ranked #1 against the pass and #26 against the run, while you are ranked #1 against the run and #29 against the pass. So it appears that both of our strenghts on Offense will be in for a test. I believe those numbers to be slightly misleading, I would think you are number one against the run because it is so easy to pass on you guys so no-one tries to run, and vice-versa for us, it is to easy to run so no real reason to pass against us. I guess this game will shake both of those stats out, because I see us trying to run alot, and you guys trying to pass alot.

Good luck, don't be to upset when we drop you to 4-3 for the 3rd straight year.

And you shouldn't be. It is just about the only bright spot we have so, people will tend to throw it out there. Actually........WE SUCK!

i'm not sold on the ranking of your pass defense, either. teams don't run on you because they have been focusing on the pass more (which you guys aren't doing to good against).

offenses focus on where the opposing defense is weak. teams don't run on you guys much because they know that they can get more than 12.5 yards per reception. sure, you have 7 INTs but you are also thrown on almost 38 times per game (2nd most in the league behind the titans). also you guys are giving up 273 yards per game receiving. only two teams worse than that is the lions and the titans.

am i saying that we are going to win? nope. does that mean that the game in january didn't happen? nope. but remember the panthers are 6-2 against your team. the panthers have nothing to lose at this point (read 'willing to take more risks and try some things that they haven't just to see what happens'). the defense is finally coming together. the panthers have given away more games than they have lost. all that is neede is for them to stop doing that. you get the panthers to stop making mistakes and you have yourself a game.

point is, cards shouldn't be very confident and you should be taking those rankings with a grain of salt, especially your teams. sure, you beat the giants but remember that the raiders beat the eagles. anything can happen.

    • Retired jersey, etc. It can't be done on Cam's terms.  'Be patient" and quiet about it is my advice.
    • I see your point 100% and I agree with Cam in principle--but from the business side of things, it is not a valid argument.  Was he doing it for loyalty to the city or money?  He signed a contract and both sides fulfilled that contract, just like a teacher or a lawyer/client. Recently, I hired a stud lawyer at $550 per hour to sue my employer for violations to the UNC system policy that "injured" my professional status and reputation.  If he failed, he would have kept nearly $30,000. We won a big settlement.  Do I owe him more?  Should he be on our Christmas card list?  What if he went public and said, "I gave my all for MHS yet I am not invited to his house for Thanksgiving."  I did give him a positive review and sent his staff a gift card to a restaurant, but that was purely my idea.  Cam was paid about $110m for his time here. He signed a contract, he probably outplayed it and he sacrificed his body to keep Ron Rivera employed.  Not under debate.  But Cam's comment suggests that the franchise owes him more for doing his job well--at least in terms of honor and recognition--I agree, but it it can't come from Cam--and they owe him nothing. They should do it, and they will, but not on Cam's terms.  I also think it would be different if we had won a Super Bowl.  Frankly, Cam never had 2 winning seasons in a row--so I can see both sides.  Maybe only Dan Marino gets a statue without bringing Miami a ring; can you think of another?  Fran Tarkenton?  Warren Moon?  The Titans retired his jersey, and maybe the Panthers should do that for Cam--While I agree with Cam, I just think it should not come from Cam or people in his position. He played, got paid, and the rest is political, emotional, and cordial.  It seems petty coming from Cam.  So yeah, I feel you, but I don't think that statement helps him.  Just my perspective.
