What did we learn today?

Probably blitz heavy.  Some truth to what Ron says....not sure he really feels pressure well.   And they will figure out where he likes to throw and how often he throws to his first read/look

His footwork in the pocket is above average and that's a big reason we won today. I really feel all Allen needs to do is manage the game well enough to allow CMC to run. I think Carolina has the tools to do that.

After watching how crisp and efficient offence played today, I have a thought that many are not going to like.

Everyone says coaches are holding Cam back, what if Cam was holding the coaches back?

Shula was the 2015 NFL MVP!

Learned:

Washington is worthless

Allen is a legit back up and possible starter

Olsen has more left in the tank

Rookie Little>Williams

Miller and Burns are for real

Special teams looks better than it has in 10 years

Jackson has all the tools to be #1

Norv is capable of game planning and adjusting

Feel like Samuel is still not used to his potential

Confirmed:

Rivera can’t evaluate talent

Rivera was fighting the urge to go conservative at the end of the third quarter up 8 points

Slye is here to stay

KK is worthless

WRs are getting separation and running great routes

CMC is a man among boys

Shaq should have never been drafted for a 4-3

Reid must shoulder launch at a dummy 1,000 a day in preparation

Hear me out on how I came to this thought.

First we had Chud, when he left many on here stayed he didn't push Cam and he was just looking for a head coaching job.  Cam had great stats, but the team didn't win.

Then we had Shula, who EVERYONE on here said he only had a job because of his Dad and was the worst OC in the history of football.  Team had to burn timeouts because of poor clock management,  QB didn't throw WRs open, and had poor footwork.   2015 the team and Cam had an outstanding year, but I believe defensive turnovers and short fields had a huge impact on that years success, which is why the success was not sustained.  Today I saw a few posts calling for Shula and saying we would have won the last couple games with him.

Now Norv is the OC and the team still has the same issues with clock management and QB not throwing the WR open on a consistent basis.  I will admit injury has had a huge impact on Cam, and we do not know his potential for success this year as of yet.

But if you look at the overall performance of the offense in the Saints game last year and in this game, it is a night and days difference in overall performance.

that Norv can still call a good game, but only with the sort of players he's used to. even the 6-2 stretch to start last year, which i'm convinced is the last time Cam was healthy, the offense wasn't really working all that well. i think Norv with Cam is like a samurai with a claymore/greatsword. he can win a fight with it sometimes but is much better with katanas (probly my best analogy of all time, give this post fire emojis). at least in this 1 game, Allen looks more like the type of tool Norv is used to.

that's not a good thing for an OC, mind you. it was the reason he failed in Minnesota. he couldn't even get anything out of Adrian Peterson because he wasn't the exact right type of player that Norv calls plays for. an OC should be able call plays for the players you have.
