Frankly it’s better for the franchise to lose at this point. We all pretty much agree Hurney and Rivera aren’t taking us to the promise land. We don’t want to win just enough to keep them around. If we’re about to have a new regime we’re better off with higher draft picks than the 16th-18th pick.

Seen conflicting reports on Cam Newton timeline. I'm told this is a week-to-week situation. Could Newton be back next week? Possibly. But I think it's more likely he's out at least another week. I wrote why that's a good thing for him:
