the fact is that that Allen is playing well for 2 reasons. firstly, he has a different LT than Cam has had (and on the plays where he had the same one, he repeatedly got sacked for fumbles). and 2, it's clear that Eric Reid has done a lot to inspire this team today, they are rallying around him and you can see it in their eyes, particularly Donte Jackson and Kyle Allen have been influenced.

I think Kyle Allen has done a lot to inspire this team today.  Not that Reid hasn’t had a good game.  But having the ability to move the ball helps the mood of everyone.

Good lord what a reach. Eric Reid has nothing to do with how Allen and the offense is playing.

Maybe look at all the time our starting QB doesn't practice, and who is getting the reps. That is helping Allen a little bit more than what a guy on the other side of the ball is doing.
