Remember when everyone said the Steelers got bent over on Antonio trade?

Wonder if they knew about the accusations before the trade?

So, in about 6 months:

The Steelers took  a 21 mil dead money cap hit to release Brown

The Raiders traded two picks and then cut Brown before the season so they only spent 1 mil

The Patriots sign Brown, then cut him for a 10 mil dead money cap hit.

So, in 6 months, 3 teams spent 30+ mil and 2 draft picks to NOT have him on the roster.

I wonder if he will get the second part of the signing bonus?

Oh no that was the second thing he did after the alleged rape of someone else from my limited knowledge of the situation.

Being the type of person he seems to be---basically a self-entitled prick---he probably has been a cad to even more women, but it still doesn't make him a rapist.

From what I gather, one woman was a stranger that was dealing with him on a purely professional basis. The other had a relationship of some sort with him.

AB is innocent until proven guilty, but I think you're missing part of this situation.

Question for all Huddlers:

If you were accused of rape would you rather

A.) Be fired immediately.

B.) Wait for a fair trial.

This question is midly infuriating

Job is a privilege not a right. Company can fire you for pretty much anything they choose as long as its not race religion gender etc

He deserves a fair trial but what's happening to him is not a violation of that

You mean like it was doubtful that Greg Hardy was done? Because teams would just keep turning a blind eye for the talented player. Not happening

All I’m saying is I doubt this is the last chance he will get to play in the NFL. It may be two years or longer, but how hard is it to see him getting an opportunity. Of course it’s all dependent on what comes of all these accusations.

Personally, I hope he never plays again. And as a lifelong Steeler fan it hurts to say that. He’s a top 10 all time WR who works his ass off at his game. But he became about AB before everything.

Well, this is all kinds of ironic.

So the story is out now that Patriots owner Robert Kraft was "enraged" by Antonio Brown's behavior.

Ummm, Yeah...

In all seriousness though, both the Patriots and the NFL had told him to stop texting his accusers. Perfectly reasonable request, and one that frankly was for his own good.

Once it came out that he still was - and doing despicable things like including pictures of one's kids - both Belichick and Kraft had enough and agreed it was time to dump him.

There is the possibility they try to keep from paying out any of his bonus, though one person did point out that if the Patriots were involved in any shenanigans with regard to his departure from the Raiders, Brown might be in a position to expose them.

(he'd need evidence, of course)

Well, B of course.  I'd also probably try to refrain from harassing the accuser or any other women while it played out.  If I couldn't help myself though, I'd definitely include my lawyer in on the harassing group text message, seems like the thing to do.  Communications with the lawyer, thats confidential stuff right?
