Pats just released AB

This isn't a criminal court. An NFL team can release you for just being more trouble than you're worth.

Again, the guy sent harassing and borderline threatening messages to a woman who spoke out against him. Besides the fact that's unforgivably moronic, attempting to intimidate a witness is also a blatant violation of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.

His being unemployed is nobody's fault but his own.

I know an NFL team can release a player in AB's situation, but I don't agree with that decision.

Were these messages "allegedly" sent by AB, or do we know for a fact he sent them?

On the surface AB sounds like a stupid, dangerous, frightening rapist. But what do we really know without a proper trial? Not much.

I don't know much about the situation. I assume he has multiple charges at this point, but he's innocent until proven guilty.

Innocent until proven guilty of rape in a court of law, yes absolutely. But he’s already proven himself guilty of being a complete idiot, PoS human being, and massive distraction and that’s been clear to pretty much the whole country for several weeks now.

I wouldn’t be accused of rape, because A) I don’t rape people B) I don’t put myself into bad situations, make stupid decisions, or interact with scumbags.

Do you think that a smart person who avoids scum has ever been falsely accused of rape?

AB is a classic narcissist. If you have never dealt with one of these types of "people" then you are lucky. A true narcissist is not redeemable. The ones that recognize that they are true narcissists will admit they cannot change their behavior. Something is missing in narcissists that other people have. Some might call it a soul.

You're seriously going to suggest that somebody else sent threatening messages from Antonio Brown's phone? Messages that just happened to sound exactly the same in tone as ones he confirmed sending to his previous accuser?

What's next? Asking if somebody else that looks exactly like him and just happens to miraculously have the same DNA actually committed the rapes?

Serious, dude :eyeroll:

The Patriots are one of the most "forgiving" teams in the NFL when it comes to personal conduct. If they release you, it's pretty obvious you're guilty, and probably a dumbass.

He is not facing criminal charges, the rape case is a civil matter. The intimidating texts were sent to the NFL by the painters lawyers. Thus, he is in clear violation of the personal conduct policy. He is on the fast track for the commissioners exempt list. Any team that signs him now will have to pay his salary while he is on said list. Therefore, no team will be dumb enough to sign him until his punishment from the league is known.

No it's random Panthers fan playing devils advocate because I'm bored.

This is more like "dumbass's advocate".

According to espn report, the texts came from the same phone number AB have his old trainer a few years back... wether it was him or not, it’s from a phone that at least used to be his....

And the structure is pretty much the same.
