I have to think that every free agent he tries to sign either says no or ups the asking price a good 25% to go to the Giants.  His approach is not good business.

Guys leave their former teams all the time in free agency, but when so many high profile free agents leave with virtually all of them having the same story... well, they probably ain't lying.

I hate to say it but I kind of understand. Think about it, if there are teams he's trying to negotiate a trade with, telling the player we are going to cut you would be told to his agent who could talk to who knows how many teams.

I'm not saying there may not be a better way to break the news, but I can see it from a gm viewpoint if you're trying to get capital for a guy you're gonna cut.

It hasn't been every one, but it's been the ones with the biggest egos.

He was definitely qualified, but it makes you wonder if his ego and brash personality had something to do with why he didn't land a GM gig sooner. A lot of people love to use the phrase "it's just business" but it's usually a phrase used by people with no tact. You can make tough business decisions without being a complete prick about it.
