Rivera Walks out on Media Session

Go DJ that's my DJ

He didn’t storm out of anything. He very nicely asked to change the subject, and one reporter in particular wouldn’t let up on it. And I think that’s the same reporter that wouldn’t let up on the Luke Kuechly stuff a while back. So obviously, that’s that.

This was David Newton. 99% sure the Luke concussion stuff was Joe Person.

I don’t think it matters. I don’t think it makes the seat any hotter. It’ll piss off some writers. That’s about it.

You have to at least have some level of self-awareness, though.

With Belichick's record, he could serve barbecued baby seal on a shingle to reporters at his presser and they'd just laugh and say "That's Bill."

Ron Rivera doesn't have that kind of impenetrable armor.

I would say he does still have some allies in the press, but stuff like this makes it tougher for them to defend him.

If Ron’s worried about his self-image at a media avail, I’d be more concerned than anything.

So the Luke stuff was not David Newton? Wow. I could’ve sworn it was.

I am getting old.

Newton I think was part of it, but the time Ron flew off the handle(for him) was when Joe wouldn’t stop asking about it.

EDIT: Well turns out there was a Newton question about Luke that had him walk out. I don’t even remember this one honestly.

There was definitely another incident with Person during that time Luke missed 5 weeks and Joe kept asking about Luke and the concussion protocol. Don’t think he walked out of that one though.
