What are they hiding?

Not exactly sure but this sort of behaviour and lack of disclosure is not normal....something is up.  That's why the reporters keep probing, they aren't buying Ron's explanation (or lack thereof in this case).

There was literally nothing new to offer on the Cam front. I know everybody wants to know more, but when you start to get the sense that nobody’s going to give you anything on that, it’s a good idea to start asking other questions.

Relevant questions.

Yes there is. But since the coach won't talk about it.....

Well maybe the reporters can keep doing their jobs and uncover all that's going on. Or maybe, probably, they won't be allowed to and we can just all keep talking poo about them while pretending to want to be like a large market media group.

I can't speak for anybody else, but I've got nothing against the reporters trying to do their jobs.

Some of them may indeed be asshats (I think Kyle Bailey called David Newton that, specifically) but this isn't national security or something. It's sports.

Getting “huffy with the media” is probably not how the players see that.

You’re right. Guys like Kyle Allen, Christian McCaffery and some of the other vets I’m sure just loooove having to deal with Cam Newton questions when they shouldn’t have to.

For someone who supposedly “covers” the team you should probably stop speaking in absolutes when you don’t know something.

It's part of the job.  Don't like it?  Get another job.

A lot of golfers used to get tired of answering questions about Tiger Woods and then it dawned on them that Tiger is the reason their on-course and off-course earnings had exploded on the upside.

Cam put this franchise on the map nationally, he's the reason people outside the area pay attention to the Panthers.  If they don't already, the vets need to be made to understand this.

My bad. I did use the word probably. Thought that might’ve covered things.

Let me start over: in my opinion, there’s a decent probability that the players don’t view what Ron did as a bad thing. This is my opinion. It’s not an official piece of reporting. In fact nothing I do on a message board constitutes reporting. Just throwing out a thought or two.

Yes, please go ask the beat reporters what they think about it. You’ll get a better view of things I’m sure.
