Untouchable

Said it a couple of times already: Ron Rivera seems ready to fight to the death (or to the pain) to keep Taylor Moton from ever playing another snap at left tackle again.

Heck, he's been so adamant on this point that I'd be scared if both Darryl Williams and Greg Little went down he'd go out and sign Amini Silatolu again.

I sincerely hope something changes his mind.

I don't know if I've ever seen such hard headedness from an NFL coach and that's saying something since football coaches by and large are some hard headed sumbitches.

How can you have your two worst OL on your QB's blindside and your third worst directly in front of him? And they're bad in all the worst ways. Williams can't handle speed and he plays on the edge and Paradis can't handle power and he plays directly in front of your QB. It's a disaster.

Williams needs to play LG and Little needs to start at LT.

Most football apt people felt this way after the draft, it seemed obvious that GVR should be the odd man out, and if you didn't want to start a rookie, then...

Moton / GVR / Paradis / Turner / Williams

Made the most sense if you wanted all vets.

For some unknown reason aside from Marty saying ''I don't know how you move Moton from RT after he played so well'' there seems to be little that warrants the current line up.

Darryl played RG/RT at OKL and RT the majority of his pro career

If memory serves Moton has LT/RT/G experience

Darryl was a 4th round selection, we traded up for Moton in the 2nd, we also traded up for Little in the 2nd this year, so why is the player we have the LEAST invested in with draft stock, and with contract length plugged in at the MOST important protection relevant position on the OL?

8 pressures and 3 sacks in a single game!!!!

After a poor game against the Rams, where DW was the main reason for the “backwards pass” getting blown up. There was no reason to think he could play LT. Especially coming off surgery.

Remember in the past, we talked about starting a list called, "Things Ron Rivera Learned Too Late".

Sounds like that list is set to get a little longer this year.
