We might sign someone but I don’t think itll be a QB. Doesn’t matter who’s playing qb for us right now with this line. Dunno who could be signed that would help. Maybe that splash trade for Trent Williams?

Yep... and it would be the right move under that circumstance.

People get enamored with names of QBs that were potentially good once, and they would have been all well and good had we brought them in during TC or even preseason.

The coaching staff is going to roll with Allen/Grier, and if they had to make a move, I agree it would be Heinicke who knows the system.

And honestly, if that happens we are probably screwed regardless

it's too late for Kap to be effective but if we'd signed him in 2018 he'd slide in almost seamlessly behind Cam and we'd win the next 3 games while Cam rested his delicious foot

There's never been a better market for FA QBs than there is right now. Lot of folks who were ready to hang it up are getting calls.

We should stick with what we have rather than start scraping under the bottom of the barrel. This is how you end up with Jeff George.

He died a couple years ago. I remember the trade though a lot of people thought it was a big deal. He wasn’t very good - RIP.
