He probably thought the video was gonna come out before they started looking at the foot, thought he could work through it and it’d go away, then later decided it needed attention.

Are you saying the video came out before his foot was examined? So he didnt know it was hurt?

“I think the good will come from this is that people on this team, including myself, know we aren’t immortal. You just can’t walk on the field and think that oh sh*t we’ve had a good training camp so everybody gonna bow down. You’ve got to make a play when there’s a play to be made.”

This is precisely why “training camp MVP” is such a useless statement. Does anyone remember one just one time a player that was a training camp star in the Rivera era actually turned out to be a stud during the regular season?!

Remember a few years back when Armanti Edwards was setting the world on fire as a WR during training camp?!  Infact, at this point under Rivera, I take it as a curse to be “training camp MVP.”

I’m saying there’s a chance the video was recorded before he decided to get it checked out and take it seriously

ive had broken bones in my foot, and various other foot injuries as well. Sometimes you can recognize the pain but think it’ll go away. And only after time and it doesn’t go away do you realize it might be serious

he just feels mentally beat.  Talks about his kids.  Said he finished the game with no added injuries (hopefully this WAS recorded after rams game especially after todays foot news)

Also said "My arm is sore".  If it is still sore, thats a red flag for me

Maybe it’s because we have lost the last 9 games he has played in

i could care less if he has purple poke a dots...he isn’t getting it done

You just said you miss Jake delhomme who committed 27 turnovers in his last 12 games as a panther. Seems like you don’t mind certain players that aren’t getting it done, but you have higher standards for others.

Interesting quote “I’m proud I finished the game [tampa] without any added on injuries. My arm is sore but that’s about it...”

In Cam's defense those comments were made after the Rams game as he was driving home that Sunday.....

The video also includes some shots from the Thursday of the Bucs game but the key quotes from the car ride (no new injuries, etc) were all on Sunday of the Rams game.

That video was professionally produced sometime after Thursday.

Rowboat unequivocally said that Cam notified them after the game on Thursday that the foot was re-injured....

....well, that's what ol' Rower said anyway, who knows what to believe coming from that guy anymore.

That’s fair...after the cards game he was never the same

but before the playoff game against the cards, we were 12-4, won the division and had a bye

Cam has been the best quarterback in franchise history, rookie of the year..league MVP 15-1 with ted ginn as his number one wr.Taken us to the super bowl and has accomplished everything jake has if not more. Yet your first thought is I miss the good ole days of Jake... hummm..

Don't underestimate Jake.  He took the team just as far and had as many winning seasons (3) in the context of fewer overall years...

...played more and won more playoff games.

Jake's accomplishments are equal to or better than Cam....

(assumes team wins/accomplishments are your main concern...if you are a Cam-1st/Panthers-2nd proponent you definitely will not be on board)

This is a ridiculous take if I’ve ever heard one. Jake was a good player for us, but never had to shoulder the load that Cam did and played with loaded offensive supporting casts, particularly the Super Bowl year. Most of the gameplanning revolved around him NOT having to throw the football (I.e. the nfc championship when he completed 9 passes). Compare that to Cam who was asked to fuel the running game AND beat teams with his arm and it’s just not close.
