Some are too young to know why he refused military service or even that he did.

I’m probably in that “too young” bracket, I’m just pointing out the disingenuous takes from those who are saying they’d have absolutely no issue with Rodman, but just can’t stand Cam’s attire. Lol.

Just come out and say you hate the guy already.

Not speaking on you obviously, just in general.

Huddlers bringing up Rodman as if roles were different they wouldn’t be bitching about his attire also.

Guess these are the same Huddlers that have issue with Colin and Reid’s kneeling, but would have no issue with Muhammad Ali, lol.

It's funny cause I remember Rodman being one of the most hated men in sports when I was a kid coming up in the 90s.  Odd how perceptions change over time.

Do you agree? (I don't but I know this rubs people the wrong way.)

"Clean it up"

WTF does that mean?

Is he saying all nice and clean like college frat-boy prep?

I'm not gonna even mention from where I personally believe that kind of statement stems in someone's psyche, because a ton of y'all are still in denial and it would just start a poo-storm.

I'm as straight a cracka-white conservative as you can get.

And I support Cam. And I support his freedom to present himself, clothing or otherwise, as he sees fit.  He's a grown-ass man and some of the things he's done in the NFL over his career would put many of his critics in a damn wheel-chair for life, whimpering like babies and peeing in adult diapers.  But one thing Cam has NEVER done is to cause any harm to anyone else (outside of LBs and DBs he has run over).

In fact, all he's done is to do his best to HELP people off the field and take responsibility for the ENTIRE TEAM'S fug-ups on the field (which we KNOW his head coach refuses to do).

I also, as a veteran, have a real problem with Colin and Reid's kneeling.

It would behoove you to do your best to try not to place people into convenient little judgmental boxes.  I'm sure you wouldn't (and don't) like it if others do the same to you.

No i think they both dressed like poo. At least Rodman still came to play and got his 20 boards a game unlike what Cam is doing right now.

I honestly see this more in the vein of "Don't do sack dances and smile and laugh on the sidelines while we're down 49 to nothing."

You're old. You can understand that :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

With that said, as I've mentioned before, I don't really give a flying rat's ass how Newton or any of our other players dress, and I don't see any correlation between what they wear and whether we win or not.

This comes off as Celania being old and grouchy. Which, if you ever listened to Celania, isn't exactly surprising.

So Cam has been dancing and laughing and joking on the sidelines during the Panthers losing streak?

Honestly, I haven't seen that.  I'm willing to believe any evidence provided that proves me wrong though.

There's no doubt in my mind he was talking about Cam's hair and fashion.  Again, I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.

That’s all well and good, but it’s  still very disingenuous to rag on Cam but in the same vein say you’d welcome Dennis Rodman with open arms, because again these are the same disingenuous fugs saying they'd have absolutely no issue with Ali back in the day, but just can’t stand the sight of Reid and Colin kneeling. Not sure where in the comparison you needed to get up in arms about Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick.

case in point by this fine poster, lol.

Not quite what I meant...

I think Celania sees dressing up in fancy clothes while the team looks bad in the same vein as drawing attention to yourself during a game the team is losing.

I don't agree with him, but it's standard "old man" logic. Pretty sure Max Goldman and John Gustafson would agree.

Mostly agree with you.  The only reason I brought up Kap and Reid is because you did, just to prove we can all have different takes on different things and different people and don't have to march lock-step with anybody's school of thought.  I think you agree with that, just wanted to emphasize the point.

And I wasn't a huge fan of Ali because I came from a military town and my young formative years were during the Vietnam War and Ali was a so-called "draft dodger".  Later in my life I came to understand that what Ali did was courageous since he was willing to do what he did knowing he would experience the consequences of that decision.  And he did it anyway.  I still never warmed up *personally* to Ali, but I never for a second doubted he was a damn genius in the ring.

Oh, and I just did some quick googling on Rodman.  As far as I can see, Rodman never had any significant injuries that would have impacted his basketball abilities (I did see that he had an ankle injury in the 1990 NBA finals once).  So comparing Rodman "who could still bring down 20 rebounds" to Cam is utterly disingenuous.  I wonder if Rodman would have continued to "bring down 20 rebounds" if he'd had some knee surgeries like Cam has had with shoulder/ankle surgeries?
