I agree with this.  I love Cam, but when you have lost 8 straight starts, for good, bad, or indifferent, it's a bad look to bring negative attention to yourself via your press conference attire.

I don't care one bit about Cam's personal fashion, but he is the face of the franchise, a franchise that is in a free fall at the moment.

Going back to wearing a suit (even with Cam adding some of his unique flair) would be a great start.

I hate to even talk about this but it is an issue at this point b/c it is just another thing for critics to point at.  Being out there fashion-wise is eccentric when you're winning, but it's embarrassing when you're mired in this kind of losing streak b/c it creates the impression you are more concerned about your attire than the game.

I still 100% believe Cam is focused and is doing everything he can to win.  Just wear something semi-normal until we get this ship back on track.

Lol how is it Cam’s fault people hate how he dresses?

Who cares?   This is typical NFL fans.    I actually like how people brought up Rodman, because while people goofed on him there was a big difference between the criticism of him and Cam and that is this:  NFL fans act like they own the players on the field and they should behave as THEY see fit and how THEY would act in that situation.     Basically, so many NFL fans are like "catch/throw ball boy and enjoy you get to play sports as living".   Whereas in the NBA, and even the MLB, players are free to express themselves without getting as much crap as Cam as got.    I'm sure if you explore the differences in the leagues, fan bases, etc., you can probably figure out just WHY things are like this but I won't get into that in this sub-forum.

Off-topic though, on that photoshoot from Made, anyone notice how much thinner Cam appears to be nowadays?

Rodman is a bad analogy though. He was a sideshow and never the face of a franchise. And he played well on teams that were almost always in the playoffs.

I hate that, I really do. I didn’t like it when it was said on “Speak for Yourself” the other day. At least Wiley got it right. You can’t tell people to be themselves only if they are winning. What message does that send kids really? Be yourself.....only if it’s working....

The only time I felt something like this was quite a few years ago when we were getting creamed by someone at home to the point where a win was not salvageable. Cam ran one in and did the superman. But that is his brand so whatever.

Yeah, I remember that. I agree with you. He scored and it was like 30-10 or something. I don’t see that being the same as his clothes. He suppose to bring a winning AND losing outfit? LOL!

He has always dressed differently, it’s who he is. But yeah, it just doesn’t make sense to celebrate when you are down 3 touchdowns.
