Hypothetical: Cam is released after the season, where does he go?

Hypothetically if he was cut and wanted to play for another team, my guess is he would sign to the team with the best oline

It would also have to be a team that has a need at quarterback, though.

I haven't looked, but I couldn't off the top of my head name a team that has both of those conditions in place.

Me neither. I think he retires if he’s cut. But Im not leaning towards that yet. Still some football to play and see what he does.

Not sure if that’s the case anymore. I definitely think he could rebound but right now it doesn’t look like football is fun for him.

The thrill of a new coach and scene maybe enough to rejuvenate him. We’ve lost 8 straight, I think that’s the main reasons he’s down, or there’s something coaches aren’t letting us know about, less qb runs called over the past two seasons

dark horse Candidate: The LA Chargers... and for a few reasons:

1) Opportunity to play if Rivers calls it quits. I am not sure when Rivers will retire but Cam could fill in nicely and I think could exceed in that offense.

2) Location. Cam seems to love the L.A scene and could really branch out his brand moving out to L.A.

3) Thomas Davis. TD could influence Cam to come to the Chargers.

If there's a "new coach and scene", that scene might not include Newton.

A lot of guy retire still loving the game, but not being able to play it that well anymore.

Yeah and they usually find or try to find they’re way back into a locker room, Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald, frank gore are guys that have nothing else to prove but still play for the love of the game

TRG is right, though. The guy we've seen the last couple of weeks doesn't look like somebody who deeply loves the game.

If we go through a Bad season, that isn't something that's likely to restore that love.
