This organization ruined a possible HOF QB

If you remove the two narratives competing for relevance here, it comes down to this:

Professional football is a tough sport and not only are long careers in it incredibly rare, ANY career in it is incredibly rare. All players are asked to put their bodies beyond the limits of what the rest of us would consider normal, some survive by avoiding injuries, some are felled by them. The good ones answer the bell, the great ones keep fighting even when the injuries are terrible... they come back, they don't give up... until they have to.

Injury, age or ability eventually spells the end for every player in the league. Every coach eventually runs out of runway, few if any, ever retire on a high note.

And that rush for momentary glory is what they all play for and what the rest of us all tune in to see.

Just a reminder that Cam Newton injured his shoulder making a tackle on an interception where the receiver gave up on his route.  He was NOT injured by running the ball too much, he was injured on a pass play because he cared about winning while a fat sack of poo ambled his fat ass to the sideline for a hot dog doused in butter instead of trying to make a catch or tackling the DB.

Yet another instance of us having below average coaching.

Unless it's a playoff game, or a game needed to get into the playoffs, I would ALWAYS coach my QB's to not go after interception returns, and I would have benched KB for a LONG time were I to have judged that he didn't even attempt to go after the ball carrier.
