Cam has been pretty good in the 1st Quarter

Why are we throwing 50 times with him in the first place? Even when he was in his prime we were never winning games when he was throwing 35+ times a game. Our offense has always clicked when we have a balanced mix of passing and running and more importantly Cam being part of that running. Restricting him and having him throw 50 times from the pocket is like keeping Lebron out of the paint and having him jack up 20 3’s in a game - of course he’ll look like poo

Because the Bucs were giving us no brainer pass looks.  Easy opportunities.  Cam should of had 500+ passing yards on them.

Is that really that much difference than when we had Funchess and KB and the other scrub receivers we had that couldnt strech the field or get open though?

No, not really. But...Cam still had potential to bomb it or throw it accurately. Not to mention run it. And Funchess did get open enough for Cam to get it to him he just couldn’t catch it.

Defenses know he’s recovering and can’t pass it and they know he isn’t running it. Much like the end of last year.

Watching the games this year the receivers are getting open and are getting separation. Cam just can’t get it there along with the oline turning out to be even worse that last year (ranked 7-8 spots lower than last year as of now).

Defense this year will have Cams number until the offense stretches the field and shows a passing threat. So I’d expect Norv to continue to demand Cam throw it a lot, it’s really the only way to undue this one dimensional thing going on.

Where is the offensive line ranked exactly?

our WRs were open all night vs Tampa.  Cam should of thrown 50 times vs those looks and he should of had a lot more yardage.

Funchess and KB couldn't get open.  All these guys have done is get open this year.

Yes, it is.  Hugely different.

Funch, KB and the scrub crew could not separate consistently or use their size to muscle their way into position.  We used to see this all the time where Cam was having to fit throws into tight windows, and at the time he had the arm to do it.  Fast forward to now . . .

Our WR's are actually GOOD now.  Not great.  Nope.  Just good, NFL quality receivers.  Maybe in time they will be great, but they will first need an NFL quality QB to throw NFL quality passes.  This is the big difference.

In the past, Cam was throwing into these tough spots with little margin for error.  Now, he's got guys open - WIDE OPEN - and yet he is not holding up his end.  This is what has changed.

I believe it’s 23/24 though it could be skewed due to a TNF game I haven’t looked today after yesterdays games were probably added.

But, I’d say that’s about right, I watched almost every game and there were few Olines that looked worse.
