Glass half full or half empty. The team has the talent and potential to turn it around and get hot. They can beat most teams if they play the way they are capable of, mostly because they are still relatively healthy, which we can't say every year. The defense probably needed a little more time to gel and could still become a powerhouse of the team. The offense definitely needs time to gel and figure out who they are. But with the players we have, we all agree we should be a lot better which is why everyone is baffled from the play from both games. Cam is the biggest question mark and no one else.

Is he healthy and just playing bad trying to change his style? Is he really hurt (foot or shoulder) and we don't know because they don't want the rest of the league to know? Even Cam at 80% is still better than both back ups as they didn't show much in preseason. Maybe that's why they played them so much hoping that one would step up and left them no choice to go with a hobbled Cam (if that's the truth). Maybe he's just so beat up from time and punishment he may never be the 2015 version which was incredible.

But I understand the mentality, all in with Cam. A lot of one year deals which could be tied to the coaches future leaving the team the flexibility to make drastic changes next year if this year goes south. I think Hurney and RR for that matter did a great job this offseason with picks and signings and changing the defense, etc. I do believe they have done all they can do to put this team in the best possible position to win. But no matter how most want to blame the coaches, most times it's on the players to make the plays when needed.

If the O-line can get better, especially picking up blitzes, then watch out. If Samuel or Moore can win more of those one on one match ups, watch out as that will open up everything. If they figure out how to get the back up RBs some time and not loose momentum, watch out. If the D-line gets to the QB faster and more often, watch out. So now, all we can do is watch and hope and see what team shows up in the next few weeks.

For all the complaining and bitching most on here do, we would all really want to see the team win. I'm hoping for 10-6 or even better, even though that might not be realistic because I don't want to complain. I want to cheer and feel proud. I know a lot of the players, they want to win. But they are human beings, with families like most of us they want to do well except we don't have people criticize us every move we make at work, they do.

I was proud of the fans Thursday night as they kept getting into the game, following crowd prompts and even starting "Lets go Panthers" chants on their own. That means most still believe or at least have hope. Here's hoping for 2 road wins and a meaningful game Oct 6th back at BofA.

Hurney did well in some areas but really screwed up the qb room. Everything lays squarely on the shoulders of Cam because we have two backups with little and zero experience.

The o-line was expected to be a strength after years of mediocrity but we watch our two biggest signings struggle. Williams is obviously out of position (for whatever reason) and Paradis is making Elway look like a genius.

Yes we have the talent, but do we have a competent enough coaching staff to take our weaknesses and make them strengths...

im going to be optimistic until this team is mathematically out of it and

KEEP POUNDING

I'm with the "they'll figure it out".

10-6

Can Norv innovate being such a known commodity in the NFL? Will Norv run more 2TE sets which historically has benefited Cam? Will Norv finally use more of his running backs aside from the great McCaffrey?

I think they will figure it out but the margin for error is sooooo low. Can't blame refs, yes they are biased against you, deal with it. Hit the man across from you in the F'n mouth! Yes, the world is against you! No Cam, they don't love you. Yeah Ron, the other sideline thinks you're lame.

Fight! KEEP POUNDING!!!

Do we play the Dolphins 4 times?

Lol I wish. I think we can beat Jacksonville (my prediction for our first win), Atlanta at home, Indianapolis Week 16 after Cam is benched and one of the backups shows out randomly, and then beat the Saints Week 17 when they rest their starters. That’s it. Couple meaningless late season wins to hurt the Panthers draft position in typical Ron Rivera fashion to end his head coaching tenure.

Before the season started I couldn't predict what our record might be - I had high hopes but there were just too many unknowns.  After 2 games I still don't know what to expect.  I could see it spiraling into a 2010ish performance, or I could see us turning things around and having a decent record.  Who knows.  I just hope we beat the Cardinals.
