If you are the owner how do you proceed with the season?

Who the hell knows where to start? This is such a train wreck. Only thing I know right now is bench Cam to let him figure out what is going on inside his head.

I totally disagree with that. You need to let him play to see if things get better.

agreed there, if he IS healthy I'm letting cam play out 2019 and watching very closely if he rebounds, bounces back, or just tanks the entire season. Then you can make an informed decision when 2019 is over.

We lose next weekend, fire Hurney. Give Ron parameters of operation like using other HBs, rotating options to find best oline and generally rotating people that need a look over his safe and desired options, like Thomas over Manhurtz. See what every player we have is so new staff will have tape and developers players that need snaps. Hire a new GM or a consultant that has a hire lined up. Say Tepper wanted someone that isn't available till after the draft, then that becomes a lot more challenging. I dont care when we fire Ron. End of the year or week 10, whatever. If he is doing what he is told, that serves a purpose. Its imperative to have a new GM hire the new coach if we want to avoid the power struggle of those two in the near future.

Here is my take:

1) The staff will stop running CMC into the ground and think about his longterm health.  Scarlett and Bonnafon will be inserted into the game plan

2) Little will be inserted into the lineup after the Cardinal game if Darryl still looks like Darryl.  We  are stuck with Little now.  No reason to not throw him in the fire and start to give him game action to develop.  Darryl isn’t going to be here next year and he is who we thought he was.

3) Begin a GM search immediately. One that understands your philosophy of building teams through the draft.

4) Have a contingency coaching plan for when you can RR after week 5.

5) While you give Cam some time to “ work through his rust” make it known that as soon as we are eliminated from the playoffs that Allen and Grier will be starting to gauge what we have there.

6) Make it known that you expect people to actually tackle using their arms.  And any further BS tackling attempts like the one Eric Reid wiffed at will result in a benching.  That goes for whatever Donte was doing out there also.

That's what I don't see anyone talking about. Reid has looked like poo since we signed him. He isn't that good along with Boston. That whiff by Reid the other night on the rb was horrendous. He tried to knock him down with like a elbow and didn't even use his arms to wrap up. It's fixing to be rebuilding mode. This team is finished. Tepper better do something before he loses even more fans

Everybody knows im one of the biggest cam supporters so i look at like this he turns it around and we make a push for the playoffs everything ls fine but if we continue to see a performance like the other for the next 14 games then seriously consider moving on and of course that means Rivera and his goons are out the door as well. Losses mean we are picking high in the draft and we may have a shot at getting new QB sooner than later. I really like the kid at LSU and he wont be the number one overall prospect so it helps are chances. If cam is truley broken down and its not just mental it wouldnt be fair to ask the new staff to try and fix him first thing in the door. I think they would deserve a clean slate, it would be different if cam took a year off and came back but wear and tear another 16 games is not a good look. Also not having to pay cam 150 million dollars helps us great cap wise to make a rebuild a whole lot faster than later. I want this team competing again as soon as possible. Losing sucks period.

Far as Rivera, i would a fired him a long time ago. Regardless of succes going forward i do not care to have him here any longer.

I wasn’t going to be the one to bring this up, but he has done that all too often since coming here. Some people seem to love him, but I think he is a liability.

Most definitely he is terrible and hasn't shown anything. I would have not signed him and picked up Weddle. Rivera doesn't know anything, he is done as a coach.

We make a trade with the Giants. They are going to lose this season no matter what, and are looking for a reason to play Jones. We give them their wish and trade for Eli. We could win with Eli until we draft the next franchise QB. I'm sure the haters will jump all over this, but I think we'd be better.

I can see that side too, just not sure after 9 straight loses it can happen in that manner.  Guess we will see.

All I'm saying is there is only one more year on his contract and if he can't play at a high level a Rookie QB might give us the best chance to win.

The only games we seem capable of winning are (including the Saints game last year) preseason games.  Jeremy is right, we have lost 9 straight--not 2 straight.  Investors (Tepper) predict the future by looking at trends in the past.

Football fans predict the present--and Tepper is that too.  To see clock management issues, an inability to adjust, and a team that is basically resting on the shoulders of an overpaid (look at the salaries) defense relying on a majority of the offense of first contract or cheap deals (aside from Cam)--the future does not look bright. Moton, Williams, and CMC will need to be paid soon. At that time, Paradis will be old, Turner will want more $$ soon, and Olsen will be retired.

On defense, McCoy and Short and Poe and Love and Irvin and Addison will be old.  THIS is where we see the true Marty Hurney--open that checkbook to overpay old guys because he feels they are due some compensatory recognition or he has no answers.

From this perspective, we are better now than we will be in the immediate future.  And we are 0-9, essentially.

Everything relies on Cam.  If he is done, so are the Panthers.
