Why won't we help the tackles?

I wish someone would actually have the balls in the media to call RR out on this.  Joe did ask the question in RR’s Friday presser.  And Rons response was that we did help Williams out.  That’s complete BS.

I am done with this coaching staff and it’s constant inability to make adjustments.  That game was like reliving the super bowl tragedy all over again.

Bottom line.  I want someone to put their foot on Rons neck and ask him why he can’t make in game adjustments.

I think that Ron became such a player's coach that they run the farm more than he does. And the Turners? I sure had a lot of hope, but there was that nagging remembrance of Turner being run out of every other team so far for lack of long term results.

I don't think Ron has the stroke to pull Cam from a game even when Cam's obviously unable to compete. I think his defensive coordinators were poached so thoroughly after 2015 that there was no coming back. Even though he seems to be capable of calling the defense, in doing so he has no control over the offense.

He's a good guy that has just lost his role of being the boss of the team.

On a good note for the coaching staff, though, Chase Blackburn looks to be a darned good ST coach. His guys are actually playing like they want to be here.

Why don't we use that first round LT we drafted?

Oh,  that's right, the team didn't draft one and hasn't in over a decade.  Just like it took years to realize our WR corps sucked before upgrading, it's taking this long for them to realize franchise LTs can't be made out of JAGs.  Maybe after Cam gets beat to a pulp this year we may actually look for our next Jordan Gross in the FIRST ROUND of next year's draft.  I totally called it.  I said if we don't fix the LT situation that Cam will continue to suffer.  Despite all the moves on the defense that amounted to a bunch of window dressing, the team still refused to address the LT situation and as a result, our offense suffers.  Who else suffers?  The shiny new-look defense that has to constantly stay on the field because our QB is either getting pummeled, running for his life or delivering a shotty ball because he has no time to get set leading to a ton of three-and -outs.

Guys, left tackles aren't sexy first round picks and Brain Burns may be a great player in his career, but I wanted a LT this draft BADLY!!!  Instead we went defense and settled for a mediocre right tackle switching to the left side that spent all of last year on IR.  Who didn't see this train wreck happening because I sure did?  Oh, that would be the entire Panthers coaching staff.

We need to stop playing Daryll out of position at LT. D. Williams needs to be RT depth behind Taylor Moton, and Greg Little needs to start at LT.

The coaching staff has displayed over and over that they are incompetent with in-game adjustments, the coaches have changed offensively over the years, and it's still producing some similar results, so I'd lay this on Rivera's head.

We pretty much need to draft the best available OT in the draft next year, there's no more excuses to keep avoiding spending a premier first round pick on a franchise LT that Cam has needed badly since Gross retired.

Ideally you'd hope the coaches this season start Greg Little at LT sooner than later and see what we have there. But if he AND D.Williams dont work out, we need to draft the best one in 2020 ASAP.

Shouldn't be a problem if we keep losing like we are.

Word was we were actually going to use our first round pick on Greg Little but didn't because Brian Burns dropped to that spot.

A lot of us weren't even fans of Little as a second round pick. I can only imagine how up in arms people would be if he had been taken at #16 and Burns had gone to somebody else.

The reality is we simply still don't know what we have in Little. He needs to get some reps in real games.. Can't be any worse than the horse poo that Daryll Williams put out there on Thursday.

I'm iffy on Little.   There's a reason his draft stock absolutely plummeted.   There's a school of thought that Hurney didn't have to move up to get him and we still could have got Little in our regular draft spot.

With franchise LTs there's usually 2-4 in each draft and nearly all of them in the first round...top of the first round.  Outside of that, it's a reach to develop/groom a guy for that role.  They have to be the "day one" guy or you are honestly grasping at straws.  When we drafted Gross, he was drafted to be unquestionably that "day one" guy at LT.  We need that  player in next year's draft badly, and it probably won't be Hurney or Rivera making the selection.

He wasn't looking all that good before he got hurt, but the fact that he got hurt as quickly as he did isn't exactly encouraging either.

I lost all faith in the coaches last game.  We have the only qb in the nfl who can power, we need 12 inches and we motion him out and run a gimmick play with our running back who if he has a real flaw it's that hes smallish and struggles running over tacklers.

you are funny...... if he has a flaw, that is not it!!  One of the problems with the play (which I did no like one bit to start with) is that it was for the most going from east to west...  there was little momentum going forward and it takes a lot less effort to stop someone who is going sideways than to stop someone who is coming straight at you.
