Is Cam really focused on football?

Hmm, let’s see. Cam has spent the majority of his career with $hit for an o-line, $hit for coaching, $hit for an owner, $hit for weapons. He’s spent more time running for his life than it takes Joe Biden to convince someone he’s not a pedo.

You question his injuries? Are you saying he hasn’t had two shoulder surgeries(I’ve had two and still don’t have 100% movement) and that he isn’t recovering from an ankle sprain?

Did you notice on 4th down at the goal line that instead of giving the ball to the greatest short yardage runner in NFL history they give it to CMC?

Maybe Cam is tired of dealing with a bunch of clowns who call themselves coaches and is ready to retire. I definitely couldn’t blame him if he did.

Quarterback RTG was 72.1 and 70.1 last 2 games.

I’m pretty sure he’s focused on football. I’m pretty sure he’s always been focused on football.

He’s an NFL MVP,  an NFC champion, a three-time division champ. Has partially carried the team on his back (w Luke) for years in spite of substandard situational coaching and a lack of dynamic receivers. Overcame a terrible car accident to run the table and make the playoffs. Has rushed over 100 times a year almost every year of his career. Scored too many rushing touchdowns to count. Has moved the chains on the ground at a higher rate than many elite HB’s have over the past decade.

If he’s doing all that without being focused on football, that’s pretty remarkable in itself.

I think what's been ignored some is how Cam has accepted full responsibility for his play through the first two weeks, which flies in the face of criticisms about his maturity.

Seems like if you can't criticize his character folks have decided his being his own person and dressing the way he wants is somehow a hindrance to his performance or even, amazingly, an issue at all besides meme fodder (which is actually great). I mean, maybe some of y'all just aren't mAtUrE enough to deal with a rough patch of your fave sports team and are projecting your insecurities on athletes.

Have you ever bragged about how good you are at something only to come out and look like you've never done it before?

Yeah, well that just happened to a former MVP.  He's probably more than focused on it.  It's likely ringing in his ears right now.  Nobody can just shrug that off.

I can only assume he will get better but how much is the mystery.

I listened to the entirety of both post-game pressers and he did in fact handle both like a complete gentleman --- comported himself like a total pro.

cam has a tailor/stylist to custom design and make his clothes. if cam is getting dressed after a game, and the attire is pre-packaged and waiting for him in his locker, i see nothing wrong with dawning it. i understand how it appears to fans, as if thats a bigger concern to him after a poor performance, but this is a ritual of his, and he pays really good money to have it done for him so he doesnt have to be distracted with it.

the thing im concerned about is that norv turner is trying his damnest to exploit cams weaknesses because he knows cam will get piled on and cop the blame, so that when he leaves/is ousted from charlotte, there will be little/no pushback from fans when grier/allen takes over. i used a lot of /'s in that sentence.

Fair point but when you become an adult you learn that perception and being sensitive to what is occurring around you is important. Like if your buddy just lost his job, don’t show up to his house and talk about the vacation home you are buying.

What does this even mean? We lost a football game. It's a game for entertainment. That's why the sport exists. If something like clothing offends your delicate sensibilities, you need to look within yourself and work on things.

When you become an adult one of the first things you should learn is if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. The ignorant Panthers fans in the Carolinas should really heed this advice before embarrassing the rest of us.

If you insist on criticizing his play on the field, go ahead. People are criticizing players and coaches these days. That comes with the territory. But do you see anyone lashing out at any of the staff about what they can or can't wear if they lose? Why would that have any relevancy? Does it change the outcome?
