 That's a lot of losing

I just watched the panthers score zero offensive touchdowns at home, against Tampa Bay, minus their first round MLB, and look questionable. Obviously I don’t LIKE to lose but 3-13 and 6-10 feel the same to me during the season and could mean a world of difference for the future. Look how many deficiencies Cams masked for about a decade, just one player. I’d rather suck for a little bit than be mediocre for a long time.

Yeah I mean I get it, it's just that it's tougher to pull that off than people think.  It's not that straightforward and the mechanics of it are tricky.  There are plenty of abysmally shitty teams in the NFL and you have to almost get lucky at being unbelievably awful to secure the top overall pick.  We also might get Coaching For His Job Ron where he does just enough to not get fired this season and we'll be treated to his special brand of mediocrity in 2020 again which puts the scenario you described well out of reach.  Lawrence is going to have monstrous Andrew Luck type hype going into the 2021 draft (I mean he already does but ykwim) and it's possible that other franchises might be trying to tank for him too.

It isn't 2 games folks it is 8 games since Cam directed a 4th quarter drive to win a game. Last year we waited 6 games. What do you have to lose in letting Cam sit a few games, heal himself and get his head straight. At this point if Cam can't be Cam anymore, then Allen and Grier are both better pocket passers.  Who thinks it is just rust at this point. If we sit him now maybe we prolong his career.

They are not better pocket passers at this point. Do you even watch preseason games?

Man I don’t know what’s so hard to understand about this if he’s not running Allen may be a better passer right now Cam needs to step back and watch a bit because he’s off kilter. We’ve seen this before even though we don’t like it, Jake D after Arizona we knew he couldn’t do it but we just watched him struggle week in and week out. Make a change because it’s been since last year he hasn’t been able to get the job done. He managed to get some strength back but that’s barely enough to get the job done yea the line isn’t solid but plenty of times he has enough time to make a play and couldn’t Allen may make those plays and if he makes a few plays we win. I’m sorry we’ve never thought of one of these backups to be on the level of Super Cam but the days here and it’s clear make a few plays we win each week if he’s not running or adding that dimension Allen will probably complete more passes even better ball placement giving our guys chances to do more. The time has cone just to rest Cams mind for a week and see what we have vs a team who isn’t that strong defensively. Thus isn’t a rush judgement it’s based off his last ten games I’m tired of the I gotta play better line he hey boy be physically able to play better.

I voted Allen & think he would have connected on some of the missed throws. Allen is good enough to win some games and would have won against the Bucs.

I just don’t have confidence in Cam and I think Cam has lost confidence in himself.  Maybe he will get it back, but how many games are the coaching staff willing to wait, more.so Tepper.

Ron may ride or die with Cam since he is the first player he drafted.
