Your missing the point entirely.... poster is saying cam arm strength which has always been what makes him go is gone. You keep point out oh his mechanics are why he isn't throwing well no.. he had never been accurate like that but he got by with zip and velocity on his throws. That is completely gone.

No amount of footwork and or stepping into throw will change the fact that it's gone. This isn't an accuracy issue as much as it is a shoulder issue.

You make some good points, but that's NOT what I was saying.  The many good throws he made, with velocity, show otherwise.  My theory was that the many bad throws may have been because of indecision or other mental obstacles, put there by trying to adapt to these new throwing mechanics.

Here's an example: remember (I think it was 3Q) when he noticeably double-clutched on an easy sideline route, then threw it in the ground?  This was not a pump fake, but a double clutch.  I've never seen Cam do that before.  Had to be indecision.  But caused by what?  The receiver was wide open.

He's always been a feel player, and getting robotic, and worrying about positions in the middle of a swing(golf) or a pass (FB) is ruinous.

He had plenty of velocity Thursday. Say hes lost 10%. Who do you think has more velocity at this point Brees or Cam? I'll say easily Cam. My point is he could have been better in the past and even better now if he would have simply honed his craft.

He had some velocity but his deep ball is gone. He under threw a wide open Samuel in a clean pocket.

Also who did he have to help hone his skills? Shula, Chud?

Nobody’s done. He’s working on a new shoulder. He has a foot injury. Both injuries happened inside the pocket. Neither was a byproduct of reckless football on his part. It’s not like he’s running around there like RG3 getting slaughtered.

Cam is not done. Believe it or not, the season isn’t done.

Season definitely isn't done.

Cam? I think it's too early to say, but I do sadly have to acknowledge the possibility.

The most concerning factor for me was just how quickly he got hurt the first time he saw game action. That's what happens when you hit that wall. Injuries start becoming easier to come by.

Has he hit the wall? Don't know, but I'd say there's a real possibility that he's at least approaching it.

Im not gonna say he is done but i am also not gonna denounce the possibility of it approaching. I will also say i was not opposed to the idea of allowing cam to rest up the entire year and comeback next year. But of course we all knew that wasn't gonna happen because jobs were on the line and pressure to win was to great. Ever since the off season startered i havent been able to shake the feeling that cam has just been rushed back to soon. They saw he could still throw football and just ran with  it without much concern. They even put him on full display first practice of camp to energize the fanbase, calm nerves and suck us into this merage that everything was okay. I dont think there has been much concern for cams well being, but i do think everybody else has been concerned about theirs. Cam is gonna suck it up and go out there and do what he can because he knows everything is riding on him and people will get fired if he cant deliver whether its winning or him not being healthy enough to take the field. He feels that pressure and is not gonna make excuses because there is no alternative. I feel bad for his state of mind right now and i dont want him to go out on a narrative similar to his performance last game. I dont want to see it all end like that for Cam.

Brees has made it his life long journey to cultivate and get the most out of his ability with what he was given. Cam has never had to get by with what brees has to work with. Basically you give someone the answers to the test their whole career and then at the end u take away those answers you can't expect them to be on the same level as say brees who has had to do the the natural way study and cultivate their own answers.

Asking him to win like brees would be completely new to him and you better off asking one of us to come in and win like brees.. when your a supreme talent like cam was u weren't forced to rely on regular methods like brees or brady whoever else. I don't blame him. It just is what it is. Those super powers are gone now tho. You say he has lost 10% I see him skidding passes in the dirt. The arm is gone bro.
