If you're Tepper, you sit Rivera and Turner down in the office and say, "Bench Cam and tell Allen here's your chance to Delhomme the fug out of this."

Before you chuck Rivera and the Turners, you need to be able to assess them without Cam in the equation. Otherwise, if you keep Cam in, the wins or losses could be attributed to or blamed on Cam. The only way to really assess their coaching capabilities is to give them that chance.

It's an incredibly difficult situation for them to be in, to lose the star QB and have to try and compete with a career back-up while their backs are against the wall. Fox did it with Delhomme and like that fabled game back in 2003 (also versus Tampa Bay) and went all the way to the Super Bowl. If they are great coaches, they can do it. If not, its time to fire up the resumes.

Everybody has a hand in it. Ownership, coaches, front office, players. Everybody’s got their name on it. November 4: that’s the last time Carolina had a win that meant something.

We don’t have anyone worthy of interim. Period. It’s basically our entire coaching staff either stays or goes. Simple as that.

From the 1^st day he came on board he stuttered and had that deer in the headlights look. He can’t get out of his own way mentally on the field. 3. CMC pound for pound is a great player......for college. Not the NFL, sure you can use him as a weapon platooning him here and there but not as a featured back. Size matters when running the ball in the NFL....as long as its the running backs and not the QB that is........

    

4. Big fast athlete QBs who do not have to rely on their pocket passing, defense reading high football IQ strategies will either fail to make the grade over time and/or injury themselves right out of the league........since day one I’ve called Cam a Donovan McNabb 2.0........and on top of that he is a man child over emotional showboating dubious fashion plate failure that thought superman was a real person.

 

So I made two predictions about this year for the Panthers a few weeks back...........that Cam would not finish the season and it wouldn’t be due to an on field injury but that he would be benched for his play or lack of it...

......and this team would go 7-9................

...and you clowns wanted to kick me off this board........but how far fetched does that sound now?

......and the best thing that could happen to this franchise is to move them to Mexico City or London and get the NFL’s dream of the first international team they want so desperately.....

Perhaps an interim coach would give opportunities to other young players on the team, like Jordan Scarlett, to prepare them for the seasons to come.

An interim coaching staff may also be a quick injection of interest into the fan base. At the very least Carolina Panthers fans would see accountability and hope for change next season. Perhaps this would be enough for them to go to a game and even buy a beer or two.

Let's find out. 

Not gonna lie, went to a game for the first time in years, spent ridiculous amounts on the crappy beer only to leave more pissed off than I have been in years.  Expecting people to pay the prices they do for the product they get is wholly unsustainable.  Atleast I could watch the game from my couch with a 12 pack that i could buy for the same price i spend on that one beer.

I'll let the self made billionaire make the decisions but I think now we have to make changes. I have always supported Ron and Cam but it's clear more than ever that now is the time for a fresh start. I would trade any valuable assets while they still have value. Cam, Luke and others. Keep the young guys that were drafted last year or this year. Everyone else is on the table. It's so clearly time for an overhaul and new energy in the building. As sad as that is to say

No argument about the QB.

And while I agree in principle with the idea of smashmouthing the ball for half a yard, what we saw over the course of the game up until that point is that our O Line was getting pushed back in those situations.  When the D Line is playing on your side of the LOS, one extra blocker isn't going to fix the issue.  Our O Line wasn't good last night, at all.  Yet Norv consistently put us in position to have open players and an opportunity to put the ball in their hands.

To me, it seems that Norv did well, and covered for a poor O Line performance as best he could.  But in the end, you have to realistically evaluate the flow of the game, and by the 4th quarter, Norv knew that his O Line wasn't getting the push he needed to simply smash the ball for a yard.  Thus, he had to try something that didn't rely on simply powering through.

And thus we get that weird wildcat crap with 1 yard to go.  It sucks, and I hate it, but I understand it.

The one thing tepper can ill afford right now is waning fan support. He has big plans for the future of this team and franchise (ie domed stadium, new hq, etc)

the play calls didn’t helps. The personnel groups didn’t help. LT don’t blame Darryl for being asked to be what he isn’t on a knee surgically repaired last year
