Another shitty offensive performance

Cam missed several opportunities with off-throws and especially under throws. Norv Turner has turned us into patsies that get smacked in the mouth as opposed to do the smacking. We're a little bit of a train wreck on the offensive side of the ball. Sure, the O-line ain't perfect, but when people weren't getting blown up or blowing assignments, Cam still missed some easy-ish throws.

The defense certainly did enough to win, again. It's amazing it held up as much as it did with the offense unable to sufficiently sustain drives.

This is sad. Sad, I tell ya. This is NOT Panthers football. I don't feel especially good when we have the ball. It just seems like a disjointed offensive engine that is not firing on all cylinders.

Cam has lost his swag, and that realization has been a long time coming.

Honestly, I don't know what to do. A change is needed somewhere. We don't look even remotely like a team that can win much of anything at the moment, and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

fuging trick play at the goal line! Even in down years, we always punched that in like taking candy from a baby! Got damn! Where the fug is our power run game? Put a fuging hoss in, boss! fuging straw boss!

And, one more thing, Ray-Ray would be sent out on the next puddle jumper if it were up to me!

/End rant

Bowles just gave anybody who's paying attention a blueprint for how to beat us.

If we can't get somebody other than McCaffrey and an occasional Greg Olsen going, we're not going anywhere this year.

Agreed - if your QB can't hit WRs in tight windows or downfield, you can't win. Our offense is CMC. Take him away, you shut the offense down. Our receivers are not game changers, they require well placed throws to be effective.

Does this coaching staff even practice blitz pick up, maybe I’m watching a different game but cam made the right decisions, it’s just protection didn’t hold up long enough to make the big play. Now he didn’t miss throws even when protection was good but I’ll be damn if the game plan look like straight ass, we scared to throw screens or something ??

Bullshit. Are we actually going to blame Moore, and especially Samuel when Cam missed them long, missed them short, for just fuging missed them?

Some of you are just blind. Damned right a QB needs the ability to throw in tight windows, and, more importantly, hit his receivers in stride sometimes.

EVERY receiver is ALWAYS at fault with some Huddlers. ALL of them suck, and they NEVER get open. Come on, man. At some point the QB has to be able to make the throws on a consistent basis.

Hmm - maybe check my first sentence big guy. I said the QB needs to hit WRs in tight windows or downfield.

Your last sentence kinda nullified the first.

I've seen what Samuel and Moore can do. We all have. Hell, Samuel had a stretch last year where he was scoring TDs on relatively few touches. Moore led all receivers in total YAC. They scream "Play maker!" "Game changer!" Or, whatever you want to call it.

Yeah... not exactly. Do you think Moore and Samuel are in the same class as Hopkins, Julio, and pre-crazy AB? If your answer is no, then I wouldn't call them game changers. I'd say they need a good QB to help them out. I'm essentially agreeing with you, but it seems you want to argue. Are you DJ's mom?

No receiver is going to excel if a QB can't get him the ball, I don't care who he is. Most teams don't have a Julio, AB or Hopkins. Brady, Brees, etc. would love to have Moore and/or Samuel. The QB-WR connection is symbiotic. They both help each other to succeed.

I've seen what Moore can do way more frequently on gadget plays than I have actual passes.

Not saying he can't be a great receiver but was noticeable last year how often we got the ball in his hands via handoff rather than pass.

All those QBs routinely get them the ball in front of them, not behind where they have to stop and turn around. Do you understand the concept of momentum?

How about just hitting the receivers short? I've watched most of the games over the past 2 weeks, and Cam is in the top 3 poorest performers at QB that I've seen so far. This is not the Cam Newton of old.

I'll tell you the one thing tonight that probably annoyed the living hell out of me more than anything else...

As the game wore on, it started to feel like every drive, we'd start off with a big play. We all saw the ball go way downfield and screamed "hell yeah, here we go"

And then we'd sit and watch almost every other play after that look like refried walrus ass :poison:

That was just damn frustrating.

    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
