I think Greg is just being more cautious to protect himself.  He realizes that he can make a lot more money and have a longer career as a broadcaster.  Too many hits to the head and he won't be sounding near as intelligent.

It's senseless. Manhertz is a "blocking TE" who can't block. Having him on the field is basically playing 10 on 11 football.
