I'm more anxious for this game than the opener

Why all the threads about losing. I don't think we lose to the Bucs in our house. If one or two bounces go our way we could have won last Sunday and everything would be sunshine and rainbows. Instead there are tons of negative posts and we haven't even played. Lighten up folks, there is medication for all this depression and doom and gloom.

Honestly, me too. One, it's a division game. Two, it's a game we SHOULD win. Despite all the doom and gloom over losing a close home opener against the Rams, I think most Panthers fans had that game as a toss up at best when the schedule came out. Three, teams that start 0-2 only have an 11% chance of making the playoffs since 2007. You're facing a major uphill battle if you start out 0-2.

This team has a tendency to play down to their competition. They have a tendency to show up and think that’s all that is needed. If they start out slow and struggle to win(or lose) I can see Ron getting very uneasy about his job security.

That being said, a lot rides on this game and we will either see that we have the ability to be good or that maybe everything needs to be scrapped.

I'm beginning to think that all of the training camp hype and Cam is back was all for nought. It looks like Cam has lost his fire, his swag so to speak. I hope I'm wrong. there was no urgency to the LA game at all except for # 22's brilliance.

I noticed the same thing. Maybe Cam has been told that his running days are over and he’s not thrilled about it. Maybe he’s feeling the pressure knowing this could be a make or break year for him.

If we lose the pitchforks will be out.

As well they probably should be. Personally, I'll give it st least another three games (including tomorrow's), but I can't fault people for being upset.

I don't like the way the first game was called from an offensive standpoint. I am skeptical of Cam's performance, but I will give him the benefit of being rusty. The buck ultimately stops with Ron on to Hurney. If we're still looking shaky in another month, I will be loath to defend anyone.

Because it's too often the same story. It's a trend. Close to winning doesn't equal winning, and that's all that matters and that's something we don't see enough of.

You talk like Ron is one of the winningest coaches in the league, but the reality is we have only had three winning seasons since he's been here. That's not enough this far into his tenure. If we had been able to not be so bumbling Sunday and won, mood might be better. Right now we're seeing the same ol' same ol'. Same excuses of missed opportunities. Ron needs to get that crap cleaned up.

Definitely. That will be 10 Cam Newton started games in a row that the Panthers have lost if they dont win on Thursday.  0-10.  Thats not good.  I know this team has been historically streaky, but this is not a good streak to maintain.
