Anyone else find it strange all through Camp it was Samuel here Samuel there like he was destroying every conversation and converage. We didn't even barely hear a peep out of DJ Moore. But come live game day and every throw is headed his way like surprise we ment DJ.. I'm a bit perplexed like was this by design or was Samuel just drawing the best coverage?

This is what playing not to lose looks like... too scared to take shots down the field.

Or the fact they are facing potentially the best DT to ever play the game affected deep shots. Did everyone forget Donald?

Donald didn't even record a tackle until late in the second half. And when Weddle went down, a backup safety came in and he wasn't exploited.

Just like so many Panthers games over the years, this one didn't appear to have a game plan nor did it look like any adjustments were made along the way.

Cam was scared to throw downfield.  You know why?  Because he's trying to earn his next paycheck and didn't want to risk throwing a duck.  The pressure is getting to him in his head, not on the field.  Expect him to take the safe throws and try his best to look like a 30 million dollar QB.

If they want to take shots deep, how about subbing out Chris Manhertz and Jarius Wright for Ian Thomas and Chris Hogan. DJ Moore can move into the slot with Samuel and Hogan outside.

I was going to mention the fact that it was really disappointing to see the relative lack of inactivity of Samuel, basically no activity by Hogan, and absolutely no activity by Thomas on offense. I don't know if it was Cam focusing on CMC and DJ or not, or whether it was Norv's inability to mix things up, but I wasn't impressed.

When the passing offense goes through Moore, it seems like Murphy's law is in full effect, but when when the passing offense goes through Samuel, good things tend to happen.

These next three games will give us a clearer picture of what the offense will look like moving forward. I understand the game plan of getting the ball out quick against the Rams but weaker defenses we have to open up the offense. If the plan is to play Ian Thomas and Chris Hogan 5-8 snaps a game, in for a long season.
