There was an unsung hero to the loss yesterday: training camp "star" Curtis Samuel

True fans aren't ghosts for years on these forums and then pop in to blame our QB for a loss that isn't on him at all.

Do you have an agenda?

Probably does. That said Samuel is the real deal and we gotta get him the ball more. Moore also has too much talent to be too pissed at. Tiki Barber fixed his ball security issues, DJ can too

You're an idiot. Further proof.

Falcons, Bills, Bears, Bengals, Browns, Broncos, Colts, Jags, Dolphins, Giants, Jets, Raiders, 49ers, Bucs, Titans, and Redskins would all love to have Cam instead of what they have right now.

The QBs of the teams I didn't name?

Murray (rookie)
Jackson (2nd year Cam-esque)
Dak (Cowboys are idiots)
Stafford (has never had the team around him, but one of the better QBs in the league)
Rodgers (see Stafford)
Watson (see Jackson)
Mahomes (Mahomes, duh)
Rivers (see Stafford and Rodgers)
Goff (young, next generation QB)
Cousins (middle of the pack, but has lots of talent around him, they might would like Cam actually)
Brady (GOAT, duh)
Brees (see Stafford, Rodgers, and Rivers)
Wentz (See Goff)
Roethlisberger (see Stafford, Rodgers, Rivers, and Brees)
Wilson (see Stafford, Rodgers, Rivers, Brees and Roethlisberger)

The truth is that: For various situational reasons not related to his abilities, Cam wouldn't currently be brought in to about half the teams in the league.

Falcons(NO), Bills, Bears, Bengals(NO), Browns(HAHAHA NO!!), Broncos, Colts, Jags, Dolphins, Giants, Jets, Raiders(NO), 49ers(HAHAHA NO!!), Bucs, Titans(HAHAHA NO!!), and Redskins

This post sums up the Cam crowd so well.  People actually think he's better than Garropolo and Mayfield.  Amazing.

Lol and that's why your posts are laughable and not considered seriously. Dude performed decently against the defending NFC Champs (who got better). We knew going in it would be a tough game (maybe the hardest all year) and we not only lost by just 3 but could've won the game if not for mistakes by coaches and on offense. Add in just some unlucky bounces (LA recovering their own fumbles) and the Panthers had a decent showing in a tough game that they could've won...but you want our franchise QB gone. LMAO. Get the fug out of here with that poo.

No these posts are taken seriously. Without cmc this team puts up 0 points yesterday. That is not a hallmark of a team with a capable QB. A QB capable of winning a championship. *IF* Cam continues to put up these types of performances on a regular basis this season (thurs should be a good day for him btw), the typical panthers fan will give up on him, the team will give up on him, and this year or next will be his last as a panther.

And then what? We keep Ron as the HC and Norv as the OC. Good luck to everyone when this happens. Peace to those that think the next man up will be much better. I for certain won't be following the team until that changes.

Nope, we can all of them and tell the next hc/gm combo that they can pick their next QB.

If this season turns out like last season or is just 8:8, we have to make big changes or we will slip into the repeat cycle of mediocrity that comes with a losing culture. And a losing culture comes when players don’t believe they have a real shot at success. A capable QB and coach are a big part of that formula. You can’t inspire players to put their bodies on the line and attract good free agents to a team that can’t win.

IMO, if things don’t turn around (I hope they do), then Tepper should clean out the front office and trade CMC + next years mid to high pick for a top 2-5 pick and get the next QB.

Samuel has always been a player with loads of potential, but the training camp hype might have led to unrealistic expectations. If you're relying on a young developing WR core without a clear #1, there are going to be growing pains. The issue of receivers not consistently getting separation has dogged the Panthers since Ted Ginn left for New Orleans.

So you're saying the QB had NOTHING to do with any of the points put up yesterday? So every yard was a RUN by CMC? Because a pass would have to come from the QB - right?

Just stop. We realize many people actually hate Cam Newton. We get it. However ridiculous it might be to hate (or love for that matter) a damn football player that you don't even know, we realize you do. But let's not say things that make others question your character.

CMC was the best player on the field yesterday and was vital to the team's offense. That's a respectable comment that can be discussed and maybe even debated.

CMC accounted for 61% of all yards produced by the offense yesterday.

He even took a snap directly and ran it in for a touchdown. Cam could have sat on the bench for that play.

Cam handed the ball off to cmc for another TD.

The point is, I don’t hate Cam. I love the guy. He’s fun and work incredibly hard. I want him to succeed. But, I really have my doubts that he’ll ever be a championship caliber player again. We’ll see how this season turns out.

Some people are ok following a team that makes the playoffs every now and then but fails to go anywhere.

I want a consistent winner.

Remember how obnoxious Cam's first two years were when we had the Cam huggers vs. Cam haters?

Y'all are still just as obnoxious now as you were then.

Trying to point out Samuel as being someone that didn't do his job when he caught what was thrown to him when catchable is ridiculous.
