Even I think they’ll be fine, and I’m the least “relax folks it’s all gonna be great” guy on the planet.

That said, I’ll never not offer honest analysis on bad football. There was a little too much bad, unforced error-prone football today.

Said it elsewhere: I'm not prepared to say "everything's gonna be fine". Nor am I ready to say "we're all gonna die".

The only thing I can definitively say is that first game could have been better. And as to the future games, we'll see what happens.

This is probably the most realistic answer we can get on the Huddle.

Why is everyone mentioning these rushing yards?

Gurley had 28 rushing yards before the 4th qtr!!! He had 67th in the 4th. Brown had 53 yards through all 4 qtrs, and Woods had 16.

I said yesterday and will say it again. The offense did the D any favors yesterday putting them on the field early, late and often.

How many times did we say “it’s going to be fine” after the blowout loss against the Steelers last year.

Yeh, the mistakes that were made can be fixed. But it’s the same mistakes we keep seeing week after week and season after season.

To be fair, last season was completely different.  We were 6-2 going into the "Sorry bout your shoulder / season" game.

Love your optimism, but until this team starts beating the better teams , they are still average.  The Rams tried hard to give the game to the Panthers and they still failed to win.  Cam hasn’t been the same for several years and there is no indication he will return to his 2015 form. 9-7 or 8-8 is what this team is.  Beat the good teams, like the Rams, and maybe we can get excited again.

I've been on here a long damn time, and the one thing that's remind consistent is Saca having delusional faith regardless. Just terrible. This team sucks as long as Rivera is coach and Cam didn't have any strength behind his throws. His throws looked like they were in slow motion. Not to mention, the Defense gave up over 150 yards rushing. LOL. DUR, EVERYTHING GONNA BE FINE.

As much as trolls get banned on here. Saka needs to get banned for blind homerism. Tired of that poo.

i don't post around here as much as i used to, but i just gotta say something to yall doomsday "Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire suxs" folk.

for any of u paying attention, this is week 1. cam newton is coming off shoulder surgery and has less reps than he normally has. he also was going against wade phillips and the defending NFC champions Rams. rusty mistakes happen week 1, as most other qbs have shown.

tom brady, big ben, russell wilson, baker mayfield, matt ryan, have had their fair shares of pathetic throws. big ben had one overthrow eerily similar to the one cam overthrew curtis samuel. it happens. its fuggin week one.

for christ sake the saints lost to the buccaneers with ryan fitzpatrick looking like a god-tier QB last year. just today matt ryan poo'd the bed and turned in a performance that'd make jimmy clausen proud. and when's the last time the panthers ever looked complete week 1? or most NFL teams for that matter? we're talking about a once in a blue moon type of deal. and week 1 usually won't matter when all is said and done.

it's one game. we were 30-27 after shooting ourselves in the foot and firing ourselves away in a cannon against the 2nd best team in the NFL last year and honestly we were the better looking team overall. once we fix up the stupid miscues and easy fixable mistakes, we'll be a well oiled machine.

keep ur head up. cam doesnt suck. panthers are still in it.

its fuggin week 1.

Where you at Mr. Positivity? Where you at? Teams getting torched by Jameis Winston. Cam looks like complete trash still. Line can't get to the QB. I NEED SOME MORE POSITIVITY! WE'RE GOING TO BE ALRIGHT DUR DURRRRRRRRRRRRR.

You need to be banned. All your positive talk is bull poo. Always has been.
