Let’s pretend Allen just started and had the same results as Cam.

The real question is what kind of loss can the Panthers take that would not lead to our fan base jumping to the conclusion that the sky is falling, and screaming Ron should be fired, Cam should be cut, and claiming that we’re definitely not winning a Super Bowl?

I thought we looked good today, and while Cam didn’t play great, he wasn’t trash.

If Allen has started with the same results we’d likely be excited that we only lost to the defending NFC Champs by three.

Goff had just as many bad throws as Cam and no one is mentioning it. Aaron Rodgers was off several throws as well. Cam’s percentage was fine he just missed a couple throws. The INT was a good read by the linebacker and his fumble pass got tipped at the line of scrimmage. Everyone needs to relax. 7 of the playoff teams last year started off 0-1. We need to just beat Tampa this Thursday and get back on track.

For me, the biggest problem is we took 0 deep field shots.  If that is something that our QB is not capable of doing, defenses are going to have a much easier job stopping us and prevent us from keeping up with high scoring offenses like Atlanta and New Orleans.

I don’t know what I’m supposed to say this without being called a bad person. All I can tell you is very few quarterbacks get better physically the older they get, at least pass 30. Tom Brady is not Newton, and Newton is not Tom Brady. Newton has carried a lot of pain with him over the last few years, much like Andrew luck did. You don’t know what’s going on with camp behind the scenes, nobody does  (OK, random fan boys, please tell me how he’s feeling every second of the day because you’re clearly the authority out there). If Andrew Luck taught us anything, it should be to appreciate every game we have behind. Because in a heartbeat, it can go away.

Here’s what I think, it’s just a theory. I think the foot injury was a little more serious than they’re making it sound. I think they were judicious in restricting his ability to take often make cuts down the field. I also think he is somebody who is dealing with lower body pain. That , too, can impact accuracy. I think the shoulder is perfectly fine, but I think the foot thing is-was still a real pain physically, in so much that it is a mental cockblock to his natural way of doing his job.

expectations would not be nearly as high

after 8 yrs of being our franchise QB, it is time for results...now

no more patience with Cam...or coach...it is time to win

This.  No more excuses.  I've been making excuses for Cam for years now and I've finally realized they are just that.  Excuses.  He hasn't improved any part of his game throughout his career.
