Not being cute. I've seen many an NFL season turn around after a loss or a bad game in Week 1.

Now with that said, are there valid reasons to be concerned? Sure, and yes some of them are long-standing.

But I would still temper it all by saying that it is just Week 1 and we don't really know how good (or bad) the team really is for at least a few more weeks.

Saints have a tough monday night game against the Texans, then go to LA.

The most concerning part of this loss was the rush defense. The secondary did a very nice job on their passing attack we just couldn't handle their running game.

I'm not worried about DJ Moore at all. He and Samuel are going to continually get better, it's just a matter of getting them the ball

It looked to me, that the defense was protecting the deep ball.  I saw a few plays where Samuel was bracketed with a safety over the top.  I think that's why we saw a lot of short yardage passes to CMC and shallow crosses.  It was hard to tell on TV most of the time though.
