Rams at Panthers - Positives and negatives

Positives:

Christian McCaffrey. Without him, the Panthers wouldn’t have scored any points.

Special Teams. Aside from one missed field goal, it’s nice to see them going for a punt block every punt. Very rare we’ve ever seen that under Rivera.

Negatives:

Way too many mistakes. Mirror image of the late season games last season.

The losing streak continues and it might be awhile until it ends if they look like this every week.

Cam Newton. It’s a slow and miserable decline until he can’t even throw a 5 yard dump off.

I am starting to hop off the Cam bandwagon.  Just not careful/accurate enough in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.  Don't see him carrying without the threat of running the ball consistently and it doesn't appear that will be part of the game plan this year which is understandable considering his injury/surgery.

Didn’t start watching till almost HT but I didn’t hear the name Burns called once the entire second half

Run defense looked like it was carried over from last year... Who the F is Short, Poe and GMC?

Cam still looks like he can’t throw the long ball... maybe that shoulder is past repair.

    • Yeah my crazy theory is Canales, Morgan, and Tillis watched the film and read the locker room.  They saw a team giving up on a player and frustrated with his production.  Seems like a pretty easy decision from there...
    • We'll probably still lose, but I believe we'll be more competitive. I don't think signing another vet QB is wise considering we already have one. I think we should trade for a young QB sitting on the bench. I'm bias, but I would like for us to consider Rattler. Carr is doing very well with the Saints so he may be their starter for a while, so they may be more willing to trade Rattler. I'm not too impressed with the QB draft class for next year. I would rather trade back our 1st round pick for more picks and go BPA. Continue with the rebuilding process, and if Rattler or whoever doesn't cut it, then hopefully Manning will be the guy in 2026. And Tepper has to back off with any decision making.
    • I said in another thread, I can’t find a glaring liability on offense. If Dalton can drop some 25+ yard dimes, we have some dudes that can make hay. Picks be damned. I’ll take a 2 or 3 pick day for 35 points on the board. We just need something. A spark. Anything.  We won’t be good, but it has potential to be fun to watch, and the tone in the stadium… hope.
