AB released. Which team will be dumb enough to sign him?

Well at the earliest he can’t sign with anyone until 4:30 and I don’t know how long it would take to get him ready. If we took Reid maybe we can make it work with AB.

This a strange and ignorant connection to make. Reid and Brown are nothing alike and don’t appear to have much in common except for , you know, what they look like. Embarrassing.

You're talking about guys that we all parted ways with.

That doesn't help your argument, and I definitely wouldn't say we did a good job of keeping Greg Hardy of all people "under wraps".

Yes it does. These guys were all head cases (forgot to include Steve Smith) and it didnt really come out until they left. None of them left because they were locker room cancers either. They were either a victim of Gettlemans short man syndrome or in the case of Hardy the NFL trying to save face. (People forget he played in 2014 before the Ray Rice video came out) and KB got traded for personnel reasons. Weve had plenty of headcases on our team but the reality is when they are on the Panthers they are all business and you never hear any BS from them during the season. Rivera is not a great head coach but you cant deny players respect him and will play hard and put the team first for him.

There's also a liberal dose of crazy in the mix and crazy is impossible to predict.

That I'll give you :)

I still can't buy it though. And you also have to factor Drew Rosenhaus in here as well. Rosenhaus may represent crazy, but he ain't crazy.

pro athletes are making so much money it doesn't control them the way it once did. look at the nba. more and more guys are turning down higher guarantees to go where they want to be. i say good for them.

Nfl is nothing like the nba...9 times out of 10 players are taking record deals to go to any team willing to pay them...

lol BB is trending on twitter coz everybody knows its gonna happen

If it does, it won't be soon. His agent is going to have to take offers and hope he can salvage some of the money lost as a result of this fiasco. No chance AB gets a contract near what Oakland offered.

The speculation is, NE could offer a minimum contract with incentives. If AB screws up, he's out with minimal investment. That would work well for NE (and maybe for AB), but his agent has to go through other offers first.

Both are players who certain teams won’t touch due to different reasons yes. But I feel like we’ve done an excellent job coexisting with Reid. Way to make it something it’s not.

Pretty much all of them had stories out before their departure, Smith from early on. And the violence thing wasn't Hardy's first problem. You have to remember his motorcycle crash and posting about driving a hundred miles per hour from his car.

And the person primarily responsible for us avoiding head cases wasn't Hurney, Gettleman or Rivera. It was Jerry Richardson. Yes, Richardson is gone now, so Tepper may be different, but that's yet to be seen.

Not to mention, NBA players take less to go to a team, like Golden State, expecting to win a championship. You don't see them taking a pay cut to go play in Charlotte, for example. Or Oakland.
