Hurney freeing up cap space. Extension coming?

You don’t need cap space(for this year) to sign extensions. We just restructured Luke on April 18th

And you don’t restructure players on the decline. Especially KK.

If this isn’t preparation for a Trent Williams trade, I don’t see the point.

Dont see them extending Cam until he can prove his shoulder can holder up this season.  Hurney says "he's taking his time here from last time and learning from it".  So you know he is going to be a littler shell shocked at getting that deal done after giving Jake his big deal.  Then watch Jake get injured right after.

Has to be

1. Bradberry- who project's to cost around 13 mil a year

2. OL- he just saw Luck call it a career early after taking the hits.  Its caused a panic in the league as you saw Houston just give a boatload to Miami for a Young OT

I dont think Bradberry is worth anywhere close to 13 million a year. he should walk.

Far from an expert on this, just asking.

But if the extension you are signing the player to is for the express purpose of putting some of that money into this year's cap   wouldn't you have to free up $ in this year's cap space?

depending on the signing bonus, yes. but signing bonuses are pro rated, so they're stretched out through the life of the contract.

which is why we have dead space from the kalil deal.

    • He's a guy who doesn't go 100% every snap so that's something to think about. A difference maker when he's on but I don't think he deserves to be paid among the top 5 WRs because of his inconsistencies. I'm not sure how I feel about it but it would certainly help us more than hurt us.
    • They lost me when they started talking about CMC. “IMAGINE if CMC  ran behind this line!” Well, we can’t because in order to get CMC you have to use a premium pick to get him.    They also didn’t talk about the star talent the Eagles have on offense, we don’t have anyone on offense anywhere close to what the Eagles have.    At the end of the day we need high end offensive weapons AND D-line. Our roster is talent deficient on BOTH sides of the ball. If Graham/Hunter aren’t there and it’s between Walker who has some question marks and TMc and you feel TMc is a WR1, you draft TMc.
    • Skattebo would be an instant fan favorite and I mean how could you not like him after that playoff performance. He's a certified Dan Morgan "dawg" that he talks about liking in prospects.
