Your confidence in the team...

TBH I am never confident about this teams chance for success anymore.  We are an offensive player or two having a season ending injury away from a losing season.  If Cam gets hurt we are toast.  If CMC and either Olsen, Moore, or Samuels goes down we are toast.  O line appears very sketchy to me from what I saw of preseason - not a good omen for keeping our no 1 healthy when it appears he is having more and more trouble staying healthy.   Our defense is all new and looks good on paper but completely unproven and will have a lot of growing pains imo.

All in all not confident at all.  Still I will be glued to every game getting myself too high during the good times and too low during the bad.

Right now...I’m thinking this game will bring a lot of clarity to expectations for this season.

I don’t see the Panthers being quite prepared for this match-up.  I haven’t see RR out coach his opponent in 3 seasons.

However, it is a home game and if we can capture some momentum, this talented team could hang with LAR.

Im looking for positive growth, not necessary the W in this game.

If Cam, the O-line, and the D-line turn in decent performances, then I think we can eventually get right.

I think we stumble in week 1, but pull to 1-1 after Thurs. After that, something in the 8-8 range.

This seems like one of those years where everybody (or more accurately a lot of people, I know there is no broad consensus and there never will be) on this site is convinced we're loaded with studs top to bottom but when it actually gets on the field it's just... not like that.  I'm getting a 2006 vibe out of this squad.

I like the potential.  I like the players.

I want to feel good about it, but then I flash back to 2010. The Horror.

Norv and Ron were coming off a 13-3 season.  A good QB, loaded roster.  In 2010, they combined for the #1 offense in the NFL---AND the #1 defense in the NFL.

They finished 9-7 and did not qualify for the playoffs.

To be fair, that team was unlucky as hell.  They had so many special teams gaffes and weird mistakes.  I'm pretty sure that is the season Rivers dropped the snap when they were trying to kneel to end the game LMAO

(actually it was in 2011, still funny)
